Hermione
Slap a da bass . But I already knew the New York and dog things I love the tweet about She/Sassafras Roots/Whatsername, but poor Adie! How many songs has he written about her?! Loads haha! He wasn't with her when he was writing Dookie. I actually posted an interview where he talked about that on here the other day, should put your mind at rest: VH1: So what's it like now for Adrienne to be married to you and your biggest record is filled with songs about another woman? Billie Joe: I know she likes that song! I've been married for almost eight years, so Adrienne and I are comfortable enough that I've had a past. She's got a past, too. She was engaged, had boyfriends, had flings, and I'm comfortable with that, otherwise I wouldn't be married to her. Adrienne is the only woman I'll ever love. Interview: http://www.vh1.com/artists/interview/1454006/05162002/green_day.jhtml Perhaps we should bombard him with questions about Emenius Sleepus... I approve of this! farley drexel hatcher
^^ Someone asked him about that (about what Adie thinks about the songs being about someone else) and he said she likes the songs. She really can't be that bothered that they're about someone else. Another one BJAofficial Billie Joe Armstrong Larry's rabid mountain dogs tried to eat me and mike in our van in 89 while screeching weasel slept like babies inside Larry's house and Larry's reply LarryLivermore Larry Livermore @ @BJAofficial You mean Larry's fluffy little puppies Ruf-Ruf and Kong? Overjoyed
What´s on 53rd and 3rd? I wonder if Billie has some kind of diary or a little book where he writes small notes about all gigs and road-trips and stuff like that. How can he possibly remember all these details after so many years I mean I couldn´t and I think it´s safe to say that my life has been a “little” less exciting and eventful than his

Ellenkc
From Larry's twitter; @Bug72598 @BJAofficial was easily intimidated in those days. He'd be "Hey, I wrote this new song!" and we'd be "Shhh, grownups are talking."
Overjoyed
Well, 53rd and 3rd happens to be a Ramones song Idk if it has anything to do with it, and I have no idea what is there. Maybe someone from New York could tell us? oops oh well. Thanks! Found this on Wikipedia: The song, written by bassist Dee Dee Ramone, refers to what was then a well-known spot for male prostitution in New York City. In the bridge, sung by Dee Dee, he is finally chosen but he kills his customer with a razor blade. The police are now chasing him, but at least he "proved [he's] no sissy". Shortly after the song was written, the site was cleared to make way for one of Manhattan's tallest skyscrapers, the Citigroup Center.
Noy
"Back before they stole our drummer, Green Day used to open for the Lookouts!" XDD " After the show we drove about 50 miles to my house up in the mountains and Billie and Mike slept in their van. All night long I heard my dogs barking, but didn't think anything of it until morning, when Mike said, "Man, we had to piss so bad, but we were afraid to get out of the van because we thought those dogs would kill and eat us." My dogs were even bigger wusses than I was, so that was pretty funny, but I think the guys were also scared because it was way out in the country and there were no street lights or anything. Oh, and there WERE bears out in the woods, but I didn't tell them about that part. "
Katarina.
Lol, I love all of these tweets, the most recent ones are just great. Slap a da bass big time! 16 is a great song, now I will think of that whenever I listen to it, ahaha. I love how many things Billie's telling us, all these factoids, and just old memories. Love it. And Larry's tweets about them, omg. (in a good way)

Katarina.
"Back before they stole our drummer, Green Day used to open for the Lookouts!" XDD Ahaha. how awesome would that be. Hearing songs by Green Day and the Lookouts at one show! Although imo it would make more sense to let the Lookouts open for Green Day.

If we were to play with them today, we might be persuaded to take the opening spot, however.

But I said that cause I personally like Green Day's songs better, now that I think about it, even if Green Day weren't "famous" back then, and the Lookouts were, they could be co-headlining or something. Cause both bands are really awesome, in my opinion. I'd LOVE it to hear the Lookouts live. That would be great. (Hearing songs like Agape or That Girl's From Outer space live.. just the thought of it, ah I can only dream of that.)
