Katarina.
So maybe one day we'll get a 'hey, we're back in the studio!!!!!' or a pic of him posing with Speedy (lol), but I'm not going to hold my breath. Posing with Speedy? Haha, that fish probably lived as long as Billie kept the hair color he had then..
GDM
Alright, it's not about Green Day tweeting, but about me tweeting about Green Day, lol. Last week, a guy who writes a column for the Faster Times and tweets about theater called @NewYorkTheater tweeted about about American Idiot calling fans "Idiots." A few people commented about it, including me. He gathers up tweets from the week and writes about them for the Faster Times paper and including me a couple of others in the article. You have to scroll down to the American Idiot section. New York Theater in the Faster Times. I'm @elderta
-Billiejoezee-
That would be one hell of a fish if he/she/it was still alive No. I doubt he would do something like that. He probably didn't get as much fun out of it as we did (*snorts*), but if he didn't enjoy it or didn't really want to do it, he wouldn't. There were already dead looking fishes at the store. Yeah...you're right. I bet he did enjoy It. Not as much as we did though. I think he Liked how much power he had over us after the awesome as fuck signs. And Maybe he knows how much we'd like him to tweet again and he's taunting us by not tweeting... /stupidtheory
Whatsername1911
I'm still waiting for BJ to get completely trashed and give us a drunk tweet. It'll probably be really inappropriate.

But hey, is it just me or is Jonathan Mandell a bit of an asshole?: "I know I’m out of the loop, but is it really good marketing to call potential customers idiots?" & "Do the show’s producers call themselves idiots too?" *Maria_Laura*
I was just thinking, I wouldn't be surprised if Billie didn't tweet again after his rant in Peru. And if he does, it might not be for a loooonng time. I was thinking the same thing too
Catsername
I'm scared of anti-technology Billie. I want llama and orange socks Billie back Me too. Although I have to admit, the "Do you wanna live??!" part of the rant stuck with me. It was so powerful and intense. And just a side note- my friend yesterday gave me a button that said "I'm alive" on it and when you turn it upside down it still reads "I'm alive" from left to right. Idk, it just reminded me of what Billie said.

Clayish
there was an anti-technology rant *is confused* Billie Joe made a really lame speech, saying how he can't wait for Steve Jobs to fucking die. and how Obama can go to hell. He then said how technology was taking over, bleh, blegh, bleh. It was lame.
TheSaltOfTheEarth
oh god I hope he doesn't stop tweeting. long term. he's ranted anti-technology a lot of times...
ParadoxAndPlaid
there was an anti-technology rant *is confused* Billie spoke about it on stage during the tour a few times. I would not consider it "anti-technology" more like "Use it wisely, it is a tool, not a way of life" people have really misunderstood that. He then said how technology was taking over, bleh, blegh, bleh. It was lame. I agree completely. In his defense though, you guys, they've said many times that they drink before they go on stage. I'm sure that a lot of what he said came from the fact that he wasn't sober. I highly doubt that in his right mind, Billie would wish for someone to die of cancer. So I refuse to be as upset with him as some people are. Anyway, can we get some new tweets? Seriously.

Fanny.
Aw Thanks I probably wasn't very clear the first time It's ok I reread your post and yeah I'm the one who was confused XD It was pretty simple to understand lol Seeing this thread being updated a lot made me think there was a new tweet. D: I thought that too.. until I realized I was wrong But I don't expect Billie to tweet anytime soon.. He needs to catch up at home as well as Mike and Tré (:

But cancer is another. And that's not cool. But it also supports the claim that they get totally hammered before a show, (like the Q mag thing) instead of a few shots to calm the nerves. And I think Billie would be able to hold his alcohol better than that if it was only a little bit.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love
But it also supports the claim that they get totally hammered before a show, (like the Q mag thing) instead of a few shots to calm the nerves. Omg, that was totally pulled out of its context. It said that at one point Billie used to drink that much. That "one point" probably being the Insomniac or Nimrod tour. If you have ever seen even a live video of this or the AI tour, you can see that they're not drunk. Yes, they drink a little before a show, but they don't down litres and litres of alcohol before each show, which that article suggests if you read it without thinking. And I doubt that alcohol fuelled much of what Billie said, anyway. It was probably for the biggest part frustration, anger and adrenaline. They're not fucking alcoholics, for fucks sake. Yes, of course it's not right to wish that upon someone and I really don't like that he said that either, but to immediately assume that it's because of alcohol... I don't know if you ever get angry, but if you're angry and frustrated as fuck, people say things they don't mean. Haven't you ever said to your parents that you hate them? And did you actually mean that? Sorry for the overdose of emphasis and passive aggression thing, but it just annoys me that people keep thinking that they get wasted off their faces before every show, just because of one stupid article. Don't take it personally, haha, it's kind of @everyone who thinks that.

I'm just saying that someone else who believed that article and thought that they down drink after drink, shot after shot before a show would/ may think that. I really don't know how alcohol works on people, individually and generally. (I'm quite far away from that stuff ) So I'm just saying some people could speculate and think that's what happened. I personally think that it was what you said, adrenaline, rage and what not. Something along those lines... y'know what I mean? EDIT: Ps, at the end when I said that I think he wouldn't be affected by that little amount of alcohol (or something along those lines) I was referring to the fact that they have a drink or two/ few shots to calm the nerves. I meant to say that I don't think that those drinks would have much, or even any, affect.

Katarina.
Anyone remembers what the first tweet of the guys ever was? im just wondering. This was posted on their account on October 27th last year: Stay tuned!!!!!! the band has stolen the login for this twitter account! it is now the OFFICIAL Green day Twitter account! And then Tre tweeted: I am trying to put on guy liner with my feet- tre And Billie's first tweet was: Just finished show in Birmingham.. Got in a wresting match with Lucha dor!!! She kicked my ass! -billie joe It's funny, that after that, most of the tweets were written by the Rev.. so technically it was the Foxies' twitter account at first
