Your Best Green Day Concert.

I have only ever been to two...but the second was my far the best. 23 of June this year.

The day itself seemed to be a mirical. I turned up two hours before gates opened due to exams, so i was sure i wasnt going to be able to see .I had that sort of definite in my mind for months But as it turned out, i got my pitpass and my place in the second row on mikes side.

I love how they played more old songs than new, although most people in the Pit (obsessive Paramore fans) didnt know any of them and gave my flithy looks as i screamed along

I loved Tre's part in Shout

My favorurite part was when it started raining during "here comes the rain again, falling from the stars" It was magic, people around me where even debating on wether it was fake rain or not, but it was clear Even billie was even amazing at the timing.

Oh and Billies red shirt :lol:

Such a difficult question to answer! I've thoroughly enjoyed all shows I've attend but I must say that I think my favorite show is when they played at the Nokia Plaza. Not only did I get to meet wonderful fans but I was able to experience the live with one of my dear friends who had never seen them live until that night! The set list was fantastic too (including sound check!) there was a plethora of songs from their earlier years and hearing Sassafras Roots = :woot:

HOWEVER the Forum show in LA was pretty awesome too!

Marlay Park, Dublin :) In Madrid I was really far away, so this one was like... wow.

I really enjoyed Madrid, obvioustly, and it was my first Green Day concert  but Marlay was... I don't know, it was just amazing. I was so close to them, and Mike gave me a pick, and they played when it's time! haha

When it's time

Aunque el encore de Madrid fue la hostia también :D

yes, it was hilarious!

 I would have paid to see it

i've seen them twice, but i don't even have to think before i say wembley stadium. that show was just so indescribably amazing. i shared it with one of my best friends and met a few friends from here in passing, and i somehow managed to get barrier on mike's side. they played waiting, nice guys finish last, burnout, geek stink breath.. so many amazing songs at that show. it was without a doubt the best day of my life.

i saw them last year, too, in sheffield on october 26th. that show was also absolutely mindblowing, and it was amazing because i'd been waiting 4 and a half years and i finally got to see my favourite band live. i was sitting quite far away but it was still an awesome show. they played the first few lines of mother mary, and a few lines of paper lanterns and it was just.. that was so good. but honestly there's no doubt in my mind that wembley will always be one of the best, if not the best, concert i'll ever go to.

the first 21CB London O2 show (23/10/10) :) it was the closest to the stage I've been at a Green Day show, I remember at the time, taking in every single second of it, thinking how lucky I was to be so near the stage.

Wembley this year was awesome too, such an amazing atmosphere, but I don't anything will ever beat the O2 show, it was epic

Christie Road...

Marlay was my compensation :)

jooder yo tuve suerte de que en París la tipa que tenía delante se desmayará XD pero tampoco hay diferencia de primera a segunda fila

Mainz on July 1st this year. It was just awesome. It was a hot summer day (maybe a bit too hot, but still better than too cold, right? ;-) ) and I was in the first row at the end of the catwalk. The Donots were one of the support bands and I absolutely love them, they totally rocked. Well... and Green Day had the best setlist ever. Going to Pasalacqua, Letterbomb, Maria, Murder City...aaaaand It's Fuck Time! :woot: It was just totally awesome.

exactly it was the best gd show ever. i was around 2nd - 4th row at the end of the catwalk. i went crazy when they started playing going to pasalaqua instead of nice guys finish last after billie asked how many oldschool gd fans were out there :D same with maria and fuck time because i had a sign which said it's fuck time y'know?! and bille saw it during the song and laughed xD

I've only been to two but they are really hard to pick between. The show at o2 Dublin was bloody epic and the atmosphere was amazing. I wasn't that big of a fan before then and it was my first concert so I was blown the fuck away. I went shopping on itunes the next day for all their albums and a lot has changed about me since then.

Marlay park was way better on the music side and the setlist was great. Joan Jett was brilliant but Paramore not so much. I was also there on my own which made it slightly awkward not to have a friend to freak out with. It was a real event but I think I prefer indoor shows, although Billie's encore was one of the best things I've seen in my life.

Sooo, I'll go with o2 Arena Dublin 21/10/09

I'll say 2005 when I saw them at Merriweather in VA. I really liked the venue itself because the pit was smaller which made it feel more personal and me + my best friend who I brought got to be in the very front. It was also my favorite opening band that I've seen with Green Day (which was Jimmy Eat World.) My friend got one of Tre's drumsticks, I got to get squirted with Billie's watergun and got Tre to notice me, and got an up-close-and-person sight of Billie lovely bottom which I wasn't complaining about . ;-) I'm hoping the one I go to in a few days will be epic, it's been half a decade so I'm excited to see them.

I've seen them live three times, every concert was amazing in its own way, but the concert on June 4th 2010 in Oslo was definitely the best. Green Day had just started their 2010 European tour and they were filled with new energy. You could see that were really having fun on stage, they were all like smiling during the whole concert. Billie weared my sunglasses during Hey jude and I got eye contact with him, I smiled and he smiled back with this huge Billie smile. They all had so much energy on stage, and not only did I have a great time, but they had too. The whole concert was just insanely amazing!

  • 2 weeks later...

I have seen them 6 times and every single show was fantastic. There is just something about seeing Green Day live that just makes you feel like the happiest person on earth. For 2 and a bit hours nothing else matters. Those guys are up there playing their hearts and souls out just for YOU. Saying that, I still have to choose one. So......The best by far for me was Milton Keynes 2005. We(my hubby and I) went both days. It was an entire weekend of mayhem. The weather was gorgeous, the beer was cold and flowing fast, the crowd was wildly fun, they had good supportig acts and Green Day was incredible. I'm so happy that they decided to make Bullet in a Bible from those two shows. Because, though I have never been on stage and probably never will be(not too many middle aged women make it up there), it always makes me happy to watch the DVD knowing that my singing, screaming and shrieks of joy are on there somewhere in the distance and that one of those tiny dots bobbing up and down in the audience is my head! It was a weekend I will never forget and thanks to the DVD, it will always stay fresh in my mind.

I've gone to Two,

The O2, Dublin, 2009

and

Marlay Park, Dublin, 2010

I think marlay park was the best, because it was like a mini festival,

Green Day, Paramore and Joan Jett were playing too!

AND THEY HAD A FRIEND CHICKEN STAND!!!!!!!!

Well I've only been to two (so far :P) but one was definitely better than the other, that would be my latest one :D My first was 27th October 2009, LG Arena, Birmingham and the best sooooo far 16th June 2010, LCCC Manchester. Well initially it was better because it was in my hometown and I had longer to freak out about seeing them and countdown than the other one  The Birmingham one was a last minute thing as my stupid indecisiveness let me down in getting Halloween ticks for manchester and they were sold out (goddamit FBHT came on that night too, serves me right) it truly broke my heart so my dad tried his very best to get me the last tickets (for one row from the back) in Birmingham and he took my whole family down there for a little holiday. It was amazing don't get me wrong and they played At the Library but afterwards, due to it being my first one, I was hella depressed...I mean badly. I actually went off my food for a bit (bit extreme I know, try living with me :P) So my latest one was so much better because, in my hometown and I heard Billie scream Manchester!, I with my whole family not just my dad so I could see how happy seeing them made everyone, that day I had a Chem exam at 9:00am and at 9:00am 30STM presale ticks came on sale (that's another story ) and well as you can imagine I was totally freaking out. The chem exam went ok, I got the Mars tickets (:runaround:) and I got see my favourite band ever the same night, oh and the setlist was amazing

so yeah :D
