Eighty.
Hello, there!! I wanted to know if you have been to more than one Green Day concert which one was the best and why My best Green Day concert was last June in Paris, it was the best although I didn't got the barrier till the middle of the concert, it was in a huge stadium, I met a lot of great people, the set list was amazing (they played my song, when it's time) Billie Joe took my bra and he was touch when everyone showed him the "Thanks" signs. They were really energetic at this show. aaw, memories. What about you guys? Which Green day concert was the best for you?
Kayfabe
I've been to two. My best concert was at my first time at 24/10/09, cause my face was like :0 and I was like the whole time. I also went to Wembley stadium which was good, but didn't get me as awestruck for some reason. They played good songs though
bollard_11
I honestly can't decide, I have seen them 4 times (5 if you count the soundcheck in Dublin) but each concert was special in its own way. I mean last year in the o2 in Dublin it was the first time I have ever seen them but I was so far back . The 3 this year Wembley was such a huge show, and I won early entry for it so I was right at the barrier on Mikes corner Glasgow was on my birthday and Mike wished me a Happy Birthday (and tried to get me up for Longview, damn you Billie ) and Marlay Park was in my home city and just such an emotional concert, not to mention the now infamous red shirt I guess my vote will go to Wembley, I dunno it was just so amazing for so many reasons

Isabel
I'm lucky enough to have seen Green Day 10 times; 9 times on this tour, once on the American Idiot tour. Belfast (Oct. 20th '09) will always be the most important for me, it was the show where I got to sing Longview on stage. It was the best thing that has ever happened to me, especially since I wanted to do it more than anything in the whole word. To get an opportunity to sing on stage with a band you love that much is just impossible to try and comprehend. I can't ever thank them enough for making it the most significant night of my entire life <3 It was also the first time I had seen them in nearly 5 years so it was an incredibly emotional night before Longview even happened. I just remember hearing 'Do You Remember Rock'n'Roll Radio?' and knowing that every single thing I had felt for this band since the last time I saw them (almost 5 years ago) was about to come to the surface. It was both an incredible and unbearable moment. Aside from Belfast, Marlay Park was my second favourite show. There's just something so important to me about seeing them in Dublin. And, the fact that they played in Marlay Park made it seem more special because it didn't sell out so it felt like there were a lot less people there. We also conveniently happened to win early entry for that show (thank you, IC ) so we were right up the very front and we had alot of interaction with Billie Joe and Mike. Then there was the whole thing about the shenanigans the day before; having lunch on the grass while watching them set up the stage, hearing the band soundcheck, having pictures taken by Chris, getting drumsticks from Brian, meeting all the Irish GDCers again, running into Dublin at 1 in the morning to try and meet Green Day after a random phone call; wow, it was an absolutely incredible day. Especially because we had no idea that we would get to experience anything like that. And I guess I just feel so lucky and nearly special that Dublin was included in one of the 17 incredible shows on this European stadium tour. Gaaaah, why are they so insanely wonderful?! Holly Ann
I've seen them two times, 27-10-09 in Birmingham and 16-6-10 in Manchester. I have to say, Birmingham was definitely the best. I was so hyped about it, because I was quite a new Green Day fan, and I'd only discovered that I was going to the concert a few days before. I'd cryed hours on end with happiness about this opportunity, and I just knew it was going to be the best day of my life. And it was. That's not the only reason, though. When we got there we had pretty crappy seats (I didn't even notice xD) but towards the end of the pink bunny's performance we got moved to front row seats! Honestly, I was crying. My mum had just followed this woman who was getting moved; we were so lucky! We was all shouting and jumping and so happy. The whole concert was just wonderful, I jumped and danced and screamed more than I ever have before, I was on such a high. I never even got tired, I think I had an adrenaline rush or something! xD My dancing was just ridiculous, so much so that Billie Joe actually looked me in the eye xD I was wearing this blinding stripy top also so y'know. I cried for ages after the concert, too. Manchester was awesome, but it just didn't match up to Birmingham. Because then we didn't have to stand up for 12 hours (literally) with no food, drink or toilet breaks. It was also pretty damn uncomfortable in that mosh pit. Eighty.
awww, sounds so good! I don't know why are you more lucky, Isabel: because you saw them 10 times or because you sang longview on stage, it's amazing anyway

Minority_GD
They promo show in cologne in may'09. There were only 500 people and I was there with awesome people and I've never been so happy. I will never forget how I felt when I saw Green Day for the first time...
.katie.
I've seen them twice, once in Belfast and once in Marlay Park in Dublin. Both concerts were amazing, but even though Belfast was my first Green Day concert I'd say Dublin was the best. Probably because in Belfast I didn't get standing tickets, and my seat wasn't that great, so I really couldn't see that much. In Dublin I was there early enough to get into the pit and I was only about 4 rows from the barrier, so being able to see them that close was amazing. And the rain coming on during Wake Me Up When September Ends was just.. So yeah, the two shows were definitely the best nights of my life

Mrs. Nobody
Oohh, I dunno. Cause Zurich, music wise wasn't that special if I dare say, they didn't play any 'rare' songs, but I was at the barrier, it was the first time I'd ever seen them, and I remember just going apeshit. I had a lot of eye contact with Mike, pulling stupid faces at Tré and him pulling them back.. and it did feel more intimate than wembley (logical, but yknow what I mean) And i remember laughing my arse off at stuff that happened that night.l Wembley.. Amazing in the way that I met some brilliant people, I shared the concert with them, they played some songs I thought I'd never hear live, it was their biggest show ever... It was mindblowing, but I can't really say which one I prefered. Had I shared the Zurich gig with people I love, I might have preferred that one tbh. But still, I'm so grateful, and happy
Leisha-LUNA
Oh I have a few favourites, I can't decide. My first thought was Prague. That show was oh my god. The most mindblowing night. Every single song made my jaw drop and I was yelling WHAT THE FUCK every few minutes. And Mike's Pants He is a god. But then I think back to the second Melbourne show last year, and because it was a home show, and had strippers and pranks and a lot of amazing songs (coming clean, going to pasalacqua, one for the razorbacks, american eulogy, redundant and macys day parade). It was the first time I saw them play really rare songs and it was so emotional having to say goodbye to everyone and go home to normal life. It was my first tour experience and it was really important to me. THEN there was Rock Werchter, and Mike giving me his vest Not to mention getting on stage in Perth last year...oh man, I am not good at picking. Nope, I'm settling on Prague. It was the most excited I have ever felt.
iLozza!
Hmm I don't know, I've only been to see them twice, and each show was special in it's own way. I saw them on 1/11/09 at Wembley Arena, and that was special cause it was my first ever concert. Of course we only got seats and they sucked, but the show was amazing. There was a lot of crowd interaction, and they played a lot of good songs. We got Scattered, Letterbomb, 2000 Light Years Away, Macy's Day Parade and Christie Road which was just amazing, I hadn't planned to hear any of those songs. Despite the fact I had terrible seats that concert will always be special to me because it was my first, haha. Then there was Wembley Stadium on the 19/6/10, which I think I've got to say was my best concert (so far). Everything just went so smoothly that day, which helped too. I got a good spot in the queue (thanks to my brilliant queueing buddy ), had good banter all day, and I got as close to the band as I could have ever dreamed. I didn't think I'd get in the golden circle, never mind but a few rows off the barrier (we actually had the chance to be on the barrier, but we moved further along and a few rows back to be with some GDCers). The show itself was amazing, I mean, the atmosphere was great I thought and the setlist was too. I didn't ever think I'd hear Burnout live I think sharing it with such good company made it really special, and the fact that Mike acknowledged I had 'hi!' written on my hand (made my evening I swear). I don't know if anything could top that, for me. If they could, well, bring it on!
Holly
I've seen them three times, Birmingham last year and Manchester and Wembley last month. Birmingham was absolutely amazing, I was one person off the barrier on the end of the catwalk and just so overwhelmed that I got there. I had been waiting five years for that day and then when Green Day ran on that stage and I was just a few foot away from my heroes it was the best feeling in the world. That wasn't my favourite gig though because I gradually got pulled so far back and couldn't see anything or barely breathe for the majority of the concert, actually felt like I was about to die. It was just those first few songs when I was right at the front that were so mind-numbingly incredible. Manchester was awesome of course, I was at the barrier on Mike's side and so chuffed that I would actually be able to see what was going on and be able to breathe unlike at Birmingham. I don't know whether I preferred it to Birmingham or not, where I was stood the crowd weren't going mental at all and that took away from the experience a bit. Actually quite a lot. But I was at a Green Day gig and so it was of course amazing. Haha, used the word amazing so much. Wembley was definitely my favourite gig and the best day of my life. Meeting everyone from GDC, camping out overnight with them and the whole weekend really added to the experience. I got barrier on the runway and just couldn't believe my luck, all the tens of thousands of people there and I was at one of the very best spots in the whole stadium. For the hours before Green Day came on I was just in utter disbelief and kept saying to the guy next to me that in however many hours/minutes Billie Joe was going to be stood right in front of me. There are no words to describe how happy I was. You can hear in my video of Song of the Century my voice just completely cracking up and me crying from happiness and excitement. Every time I watch it I get butterflies in my stomach because hearing myself like that floods back exactly how I was feeling at the time. When they ran on stage and Tre ran up right in front of me, God I wish I could relive it over and over. I'm just rambling now. I just cried so so much through out the gig, at the start, during Nice Guys Finish Last when the lyrics are 'I'm so fucking happy I could cry' all throughout WAITING whenever I looked out into the crowd of all those people and thought about how they were all there to see the band I love and then from Jesus of Suburbia and throughout the entire acoustic encore I cried like a baby. I don't know if anything will ever be able to beat how insanely happy that concert made me, the entire thing just seems like a dream. And I have just rambled forever without really saying anything at all. Sorry, yeah, my favourite gig was Wembley
Ally
I love all three i have been to for different reasons. First show 30/10/09- First time of seeing Green Day, cannot descibe the feeling i felt when they walked on stage, billie splitting his pants=epic Second show 31/10/09- Seated at the side of the stage, billie smiled at me, sang ever fallen in love (my fave song ever) during shout, tre sung monster mash Third show 16/06/10- An amazing show, amazing setlist, sung When its time and Alison (i cried) think the halloween show was my fave though, that was just epic. Undómiel
I've only been to two but out of those it has to be Wembley Stadium purely because I was on the barrier (This did happen at the other one to) but I was at the front of so many people and the absolutely epic hugeness of the whole event. And of course the queuing on hard concrete for 12 hours simply made it incredible.
madddie
I think it would have to be 23/10/2009 at the o2 in London because its the night I got on stage. It meant so much to me, I still feel like it was a dream. But then the best show would have to be Wembley stadium this year, the spot I had at the barrier was beyond amazing and I truly felt like I had the best in the whole place. Everything was just so amazing that night, I wouldn't change a thing. Ooo but then Milton Keynes was my first ever gig and it was awesome. AHhh I don't know

Juliette
Wembley was amazing just cause it was so big. But the first time I saw them in glasgow last year will always be special cause it was the first time, I was so close and they played going to pasalacqua which is like one of my favoruite songs
Sarah.Scumbag
I saw them at both Glasgow shows (this year and last year) and I think both of them were equally as good as each other because I got to experiance them in different ways. The first time I saw them I was seated and was still as mind blown as I was the second time, when I was standing right at the barrier.
jm_xd
Wembley was amazing just cause it was so big. I can't decide which one was better, Wembley or Helsinki gig. Helsinki was my first Green Day concert and it was awesome. But Wembley was something so special. It was the biggest Green Day concert ever. So if I have to make a decision, I'd say Wembley is the best concert I've been to
cherrybomb!
There's no doubt Wembely was the best for me, I had a standing ticket and got pretty close the barrier but i could still move around and wasn't getting crushed to death, the set list was awesome, and it just felt like all of those years waiting to see them properly had paid off, Also I caught one of tre's drumsticks which seemed to make the night seem even more special. The whole gig just seemed so overwhelming, I cried the second they came onstage, during the show, and everynow and again for weeks afterwards. I loved every second of that day, and without sounding very cheesy and clique I really did have the time of my life I also went to the manchester show last year which was really specail to me as it was my first GD gig for me and my boyfriend and we'd both been waiting about 6 years to see them! plus it was pretty cool spending the weekend together in manchester. ah talking about it has made me even more dessperate to see them again! EvanAsFuck
For me the best was when i saw them at the Bell Center in Montreal I waited in line pretty much all day and was front row for most of the time which was just amazing and then during St. Jimmy, Billie came over and looked down at me and pointed at me while singing and it was like the coolest thing... leacalifornia
mine is by far the Nokia show in Los Angeles for Carson Daly's New Year's Eve Show in 2009. My best friend and I got there super early and were one of the first ones in the pit. Besides an amazing setlist and soundcheck, we managed to get Billie's and Mike's guitar picks and it was completely and totally 100% free.
