You're twenty.....six....five....shit. Math is for squares anyway.

The only thing I remember about Billie crowd surfing was that his armpit was very close to my face. And I was thinking "He smells more like beer than sweat, and I really hope he doesn't elbow me in the hated" It was an interesting encounter. I wish I could have touched his hair, it is very fluffy looking.

I would enter the contest for Mikes shoes, But I don't think they make them in a small size for me. & I'm really opposed to having any connection with PETA

Alex reading lyric is hilarious.

I'm finally listening to this after getting home from my Europe Green Day tour - I'm listening to the part about the new songs

I find it really interesting that the band/label asked you guys to take down the new songs. I was at both Manchester and Dublin soundchecks - I was inside the venue in one of the private hotel room boxes for Manchester which overlooks the stage(our view), and the band clearly saw us there - Tre pulled out his binoculars and looked directly at us, and they waved to our friends who were standing outside the venue side of stage.

As for Dublin, we were on the fence at the back of the audience area (photo credit Kerry Harris) and Billie waved and actually spoke to us - "welcome to the show, we expected a few more people but were here to entertain you!" - and sent a photographer over to take photos of us.

I mean, I totally understand that the band doesnt want recordings posted on GDA/GDC, but they saw us at both soundchecks openly filming. If any of the band or crew at the time didnt want us to film and they had said something, I would have stopped, but I got video at Manchester (its not on youtube as I havent had the chance to upload). I just find it surprising that it was said after it was posted here. It's not like Billie is a total technophobe :P he's said stuff about putting cameras away before. Makes me think it was more a label thing.

anyway, thats my input and opinion.

love the podcast and Andres's mad maths skills.

Thanks for the feedback. i can tell you with certainty it had nothing to do with the label. The announcement came from the band, and it wasn't like a "take these down immediately!" message. more of a "we know these are out there now, and we really prefer they weren't, but we'd really like it if you guys didn't help in distributing them".

It sounds like it would have been a pretty thing to see them practice these in soundcheck, glad to hear you had such a good spot.

Ah I see - I thought it was more of a "we will sue you!" sort of thing.

mind you, that's pretty damn amazing that they actually check this site.

and yeah, I had chills the entire time they were playing these songs. Just an incredible experience and I feel so privileged to have seen it.
