That Dude
Send me your amnesty down to the broken hearted. Now that I'm reading the correct lyrics, it's nearly impossible to remember what I thought they were, haha. "Send me your hand and speak now to the broken hearted". Yeah, that's it. mrduckygoosy
In Armatage Shanks instead of "My own worst friend, my own closest enemy" I've always heard something "My own worst friend, my own pussy's enemy" and I can't stop myself thinking about that each time I'm listening to the song

Pat1308
I had no fricking clue what Billie is singing for about half the time. Mostly on older songs. And I still don't, to some extent. Really, "BANANAKENNAFUCKINGEVERYTHINGUP MYTEMPLEFLIESNANAAGUBNCMSNFOWENUP" - that's what Bab's Uvula Who sounds like to me. (BTW, I just learned that the correct lyrics are 'My temper flies.' Right now as I'm typing this. So it's not 'my temple flies', hmm...) I forgot most of the mondegreens (monde-Green Day...lame pun, sorry) I heard when I first listened to songs (had to dig my memory up) - well aside from the one I just mentioned) but one I do remember right now is that line in Extraordinary Girl: "...like a pig left in the rain."

BetterThanAir
I have no idea if I have said this before or not, but for the song Rotting, I always heard 'Hop off my swag' instead of 'Wipe off my sweat'.

Neutral Milk Hotel
The reason I hated Nightlife was because I always thought Lady Cobra said, "this is 9/11 and I'll get under your skin". I couldn't believe Green Day would put a line like that in one of their songs I just looked at the lyrics and I feel foolish. Nightlife makes much more sense than 9/11. Jirachi
i thought "Will infiltrate the faith fanatics" was "Will infiltrate the fate fanatics." Other than that, i can't think of anything

walking_c0ntradicti0n
''Forks and knives and rusty chains''.. Rusty James: I heard "pocket knives and rusty chains" and i assumed it was "pocket knives and Rusty James" i also thought the G-L-O-R-I-A part in horseshoes and handgrenades was, idk, "something something alright" The Grouch: I heard "panic attack" instead of "bad attitude" and i thought the chorus was "i had a young enough domestic point of view" instead of "young and optimistic." and is billie saying "so go to hell" right before the solo? Anaïs.
i also thought the G-L-O-R-I-A part in horseshoes and handgrenades was, idk, "something something alright" I always thought he was shouting something in Arabic; I think because earlier in the album "Peacemaker" has a distinctly Middle Eastern vibe, and because the "G-L" sounds vaguely like "jihad".

Speaking of Rusty James: 'foggy knives and rusty chains.' EDIT: I just remembered. G-L-O-R-I-A "The jello hard I ate." Billie's attempt at Yoda-speak, ladies and gentlemen.

That Dude
At the end of Hitchin' a Ride, is it "don't know where to go" or "don't know where I'm going"? I've tried looking this up, but that part of the lyrics are never written out for some reason. "I am a son of a bitch, a nigger and a hoe" - st jimmy "Jimmy always thought, but something went wrong" - homecoming "Dickhead, are you down with me? Explosive ducks taped to my spine" - having a blast "The future's in my liver ooohh" - uptight "I'm down in the playbill again" - missing you "Sleazing in my backyard with a tankard" when I come around I have very bad hearing omg My mom also heard the N word in St. Jimmy at the Edgar Allan Poe part. I was never sure why until now. Haha.
