drumstick
There is a thread in the general section of the forum about misheard lyrics here Anyway, I always thought Billie sings 'No one knows' at the end of No One Knows. I couldn't understand why the lyrics had 'I don't know' instead. I had to listen very carefully to hear he really says I don't know and I thought he sings "I'm done" lol and also in Ruby Room I thought it's "Look at truck and I will travel" instead of "Lucky Strike and I will travel"
Smbcf
I used to love to believe he was saying Jessicaaaa in holiday , where he says Just cause... Im a loser I've noticed quite a lot of people sing "Am I retarded or am I just unemployed" in JOS, whereas I always thought it was "Am I retarted or am I just overjoyed". It is overjoyed, isn't it?
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love
Have lots of songs where i hear other things in xD Know Your Enemy is one of them, thought they sang 'Fuck me to eternity' instead of 'From here to eternity' :'D Fuck me to eternity  that would indeed fit well in Fuck Time xD I've noticed quite a lot of people sing "Am I retarded or am I just unemployed" in JOS, whereas I always thought it was "Am I retarted or am I just overjoyed". It is overjoyed, isn't it? It's overjoyed, yeah, but Billie sometimes/often (I don't know how often he does it) sings unemployed, so it isn't that weird a lot of people think that. Lou-Lou-Cool
I used to think that the lyrics were "sell doughnuts from my door" in When I Come Around............ instead "So don't come round my door" (I think is the right ones)
Nele
I used to think that the lyrics were "sell doughnuts from my door" in When I Come Around............ instead "So don't come round my door" (I think is the right ones) He actually sings "So don't knock down my door. " ^^

ChRoad
Just a few random moments from my long and vast experience of mishearding GD lyrics (and yes, this is my 1st post): 1. 'Extraordinary Girl' - 'Some days HE feels like dying'. I was always convinced it is 'she', not 'he'. When I have figured out the right lyrics, it actually gives quite new perspective to the song. 2. I thought JOS stands accused for the lack of a better WORLD, not WORD. 3. I never ever figured out the 'brutality of reality' part in BTL. Even now I find myself mumbling these lines. 4. And I'm also the one who was sure Billie Joe sings about his "SHITTERY" in 'Warning' . You know, when you say 'shit', you're refering to some kind of insignificant piece, but 'shittery' just represents the whole realm... 5. I'm sure I'll come back to this thread - just need more
bjrules
In Disappearing Boy, I always thought the line "When I walk in crowded rooms I feel as if it is my doom" was "When I walk in crowded rooms I feel like sniffing is my doom" I still sing sniffing most of the time. St. Banana
In Disappearing Boy, I always thought the line "When I walk in crowded rooms I feel as if it is my doom" was "When I walk in crowded rooms I feel like sniffing is my doom" I still sing sniffing most of the time. I heard 'stiffling'
Juliette
For ages I thought in WTP instead of 'for some strange reason its not feeling like my home' he said 'from sunset dreams and its now feeling like my home'... Which doesn't even make sense but yknow And at one show I was at there was this guy behind me singing really loudly during JOS who kept singing 'it doesn't even matter' instead of 'don't believe in me', it was so annoying! minorityxdisturbed
When I heard Platypus for the first time, I thought that he was saying achoo instead of I hate you
Mystery
And at one show I was at there was this guy behind me singing really loudly during JOS who kept singing 'it doesn't even matter' instead of 'don't believe in me', it was so annoying! Oh God, how irritating is that!! I would have had to elbow him or something. I hate when people standing near you sing the wrong words - you should have to complete a test when you buy your ticket. Although judging by the number and variety of misheard lyrics in this thread, most of the die-hard fans would fail it anyway!
deadbeatbrat
When I heard Platypus for the first time, I thought that he was saying achoo instead of I hate you Christ, I could not understand hardly any of that song until I broke out the liner notes. Fucking ridiculously indecipherable
theviridiansea
When I heard Platypus for the first time, I thought that he was saying achoo instead of I hate you I was just going to post this! "'Cause I ACHOO!"
1039slappygirl
At Geek Stink Breath's verse " I don't know what I want, and it's all that I've got, and I'm picking scabs of my face", I used to think it was "I do know what I want, and it's all that I've got, and I'm picking scars of my faith"

Christina_Whatsername
also at JOS where it sais: "I lost my faith to this" i always thought it was "I lost my friend to this" until somebody told me it was faith.
ganis
In Minority where he sings; "For crying out loud, she screamed unto me", I thought he sang "screamed under me". A bit perverted. I also thought that... ^^
