Misheard Green Day Lyrics

In Forever Now, I always hear «I never read The Lord of the Rings or Orson Welles» instead of «I never learn to read or write so well».

Dirty Rotten Bastards: "I've got the urge to pigeon search" (which I feel could've made a wonderful video)

And the other day I misheard the 'from the edge of the world' part in Forever now as 'from the edge of the worm' so that's ruined. Oh, and any time Billie sings 'memories' I hear 'mammaries'.

In Uptight i thought it was "Upnight, All the gag with a pun" instead of "Uptight, All the nag with a gun".

I'm listening to Homecoming a lot lately, I totally fell in love with that song again. And I remembered that I always used to hear "So send my life a letterbomb and visit me in hell" instead of "send my love a letterbomb". I'm keeping the "life" version because at times it's pretty damn accurate

From Dookie onward I know most of the correct lyrics, save for a few spots on Nimrod and several things on Rev Rad.

Scattered is one of my all time favorites, but that second verse though!  It always sounds strange to me and I can never sing along to it.

Loose ends tied in knots.
Leaving a lump down in my throat.
Gagging on a souvenir.
Lodged to fill another year.
Drag it on and on until my skin is ripped to shreds.
Leaving myself open wide.
Living out a sacrifice.

On RevRad, it's the usual weird lyrics that we are all scratching our heads over.

I wish I knew all the pre-dookie lyrics but....I don't.

Going To Pasalacqua:

What I thought it was: "I beat the nasty weather"

What it really says: "I'm in for nasty weather"

((Am I the only one?))

The original lyrics were actually "It's home". "Get stoned" was a live addition.

In Fashion Victim, I always hear "What's in the mail?" instead of "What's in a name?". I know, it makes no sense, but I can't help myself :D

In Only of You, I always hear "these felines in my heart" instead of "these feelings in my heart." He says 'feelings' really strangely.

I forget the exact post count, but after a certain amount (maybe 1,000) you can change it to whatever you want.

I love the flow of that verse! Not sure if I could sing along perfectly but it sounds so good.

Just read the the lyrics to Minority for the first time, was so sure "A face in the crowd unsung, against the mold" was actually "a face in the crowd, a song against them all". "Like a sheep runs from the herd" has always just been garbled speech or something about a hood, lol. Learn something new every day!

Oh but it is! Maybe I was grammatically unclear, lol (they both make sense, to be fair)

At least I'm not VOCALLY unclear (cough, looking at you BJ)

Haha you're totally clear, I was joking that I can't believe it's not "against the mold" I'm hearing in the song :P

But yeah they both make sense Minority could totally be a song against the mold
