Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love
i think is "trust". Now that I think about it, I knew the entire lyrics of JOS and Homecoming, and I can't remember the words for longview xD it is "bearing gifts and trust" Ah, ok, thanks. I'm going to have forgotten this by tomorrow morning. F.O.D. "a dislodged chicken spud" "I missed my chicken smug" those two mixed together aren't even that far off from the real lyrics. Well, minus the chicken..... yeah never mind.
LaughingClock
HAHA. My nephew loves Know your Enemy and I remember the first time he was singing it: "Radda Radda Raddamy, Radda Radda Raddmy, Well, Radda Radda Raddmy, ra ra." I was like, "Dude, what are you singing?" and he was like, "Um...Know Your Enemy. And you say you're a Green Day fan?" He's 8 so I cut him a break. But, he does know the real words now. That's seriously like knee buckling cute. In Holiday I always thought it was 'Bang bang goes a broken grandad/Kill all the fags and DONUT CREAM!' HAHAHA. Holy shit, that's definitely one of the best ones yet. So god damn funny!!!!

BringMoreKnives
Up until about a week ago, I thought the lyrics to 21st Century Breakdown went, 'We are the class of, the class of thirteen!' I had completely forgotten it was really, 'We are the cries of the class of thirteen', haha. IT IS?? i totally thought that it was 'We are the class of, the class of thirteen!' up until now. ahh i've been living a lie! In Minority: "a plea to the crowed" instead of "a face in the crowed". I've been singing that the wrong way for 5 years
J'net
IT IS?? i totally thought that it was 'We are the class of, the class of thirteen!' up until now. ahh i've been living a lie! No you haven't. You are correct. I've watched Billie sing it live about a billion trillion times and I've paid attention. He's singing "We are the class of, the class of thirteen!" There is NO doubt (at least in my mind ... yeah, you don't wanna go there...).

This is one of the debatable ones. Not as certain as say, ummmm, i dunnnooo.... RAW HAM. HAHAHAHAAHAHA RAW FUCKING HAM.

ParadoxAndPlaid
I thought of another one, In "Having a Blast" I thought the first line (I'm taking all you down with me) was "I'm chicken, are you down with me?" when I first heard it.
theviridiansea
I too thought it was "chicken" What is it with Green Day lyrics sounding like meat? Edited July 2, 2010 by Rayne.
LaughingClock
I too thought it was "chicken" What is it with Green Day lyrics sounding like meat? It's not all meats. Mostly chickens and hams. FTR, this thread has given me at least one hard laugh a day for a week. And I like anything hard once a day.
AndrewW91
When I was a child and Minority was played on the radio, I always thought it said "Minorany". Or something like that... I always thought it was a Jewish reference of some sort.

Hermione
Oh my god . I was just listening to Geek Stink Breath with my mum in the room. When he sang my pulse is beating out of time, she screwed her face up and said "how disgusting!". I asked her what was disgusting - she thought he sang MY BALLS ARE SWEATING OUT OF TIME! kods (:
At the end of Hitchin' A Ride, I always thought Billie said something around the lines of "Say one two, one two." Or some strange counting thing like that. But according to Rockband.. it's "One say birthday boys, hey." .. WTF

WTF I really think RB are just having a laugh with some of these Who knows, did they mess up any of The Beatles RB lyrics? Or were they afraid of the rabid Beatles fans that would skin them alive if they made a typo?
Mystery
Love this thread. Just remembered another one - at the end of Dominated Love Slave '...so driiiive those... STAPLES!' I always thought it was LIGHTBULBS. It made even less sense than donut cream!!
Metanoia
There is a thread in the general section of the forum about misheard lyrics here Anyway, I always thought Billie sings 'No one knows' at the end of No One Knows. I couldn't understand why the lyrics had 'I don't know' instead. I had to listen very carefully to hear he really says I don't know wow exactly what i thought. WTF I thought the Rock Band people had just made that up, and it's really just random noises. BUT then I listened to the vocals of the song on their own that someone on GDC ripped from Rock Band (in the downloads section). He's totally saying it! You can hear it really clearly. Metanoia
i always thought billie sang "All i want to do is a 1,2,3" in static age instead of "All I want to do is I want to breathe".......i know it doesnt make sense but that what i though it is XD
Billie Kristy
In Homecoming: "After 10, cops have caught me out again." I mishear a lot of lyrics lol.
Bastard of 1967
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fxs_xGQ94Gg have you guys seen this? SNARF!!!! Aw, shit, that's good. In Holiday I always thought it was 'Bang bang goes a broken grandad/Kill all the fags and DONUT CREAM!' I happily sang those lyrics to myself for a long time before I asked my best friend what relevance donut cream had to the song! Now every time we see Green Day play live we shout those words during Holiday. That's just effin' hysterical, I am reaching for the tissues! Edit: I see you and raise you one....found these:
Shaekwon
In Letterbomb I heard "Where will all the martyrs go when the virus cures itself" as "Where will are the martyrs go when the violence kills itself".
