pucky
The booklet has to be wrong, at least with a part of Forever Now. According to the lyrics, the song goes "Don't want to think about tomorrow, Don't want to think about it, ooooooh" but I swear to God that I hear a word there, I swear it is "Don't want to think about the XXXXX". I have no idea what word is that, but I have no doubt that Billie doesn't say just "it oooooooh", or else I will have to visit a doctor to check my hearing.

I believe he doesn't utter the word on purpose. He covers it with "oooh" instead because he doesn't want to think about that and it doesn't matter anyway, simple as. There's no way he's singing "about it", so I've come up with this interpretation. The burden of thinking about what that thing could possibly be is left on the listener as he shrewdly slinks away from it. Very subtle and smart if you ask me

So the listener has to guess what the word might be/it can be something else for anyone and it's open to interpretation. Or maybe he couldn't come up with a rhyme.

Geeze, my reading comprehension is nonexistent. I thought the original post was censoring a word which was why I was so confused. This makes a lot more sense now.
gnash
That's been annoying me, it just sounds like an unfinished lyric.... it definitely sounds like "don't want to think about the - ohhhh" to me. And while the above interpretations make sense, it feels totally wrong to sing that because IT'S NOT A SENTENCE! I did see someone's early attempt at figuring out the lyrics had it as "don't want to think about the old", which fit really well with the previous line "don't want to think about tomorrow", but that's not really what it sounds like. Might be my favourite song off the album though.

Actually, when I first heard that song I thought he sang Don't want to think about tomorrow, Don't want to think about the road, and till now I still hear this.
sportsfrk214
Everyone is talking about Revolution Radio, but I'm going way back for a minute. I got a question about a lyric from Private Ale off Kerplunk. The lyrics in question are what I've bolded and underlined below, from the second verse of the song. "So I sit down here on the hard concrete Think of my future now I just don't know I don't seem to careSo I sit across the street from your home I wonder if you're sitting all alone Or is your boyfriend there" I have listened to the song multiple times on max volume, and have even listened to a really good live recording of the song from the iHeart Radio show a few weeks ago. I cannot get my brain to hear that line, even though the book that comes with the CD lists that as the line. Thoughts? Does Billie have the worst pronunciation ever or is that line actually something else? Edited November 5, 2016 by sportsfrk214

Jirachi
Idk if i posted this before, if I did I apologize but i always heard "Wait 'till you've had a fistful of ideals" instead of "wasted youth" in Grouch
I don't care
In Jesus of Suburbia, I used to think that they said "I'm the son of rage and love. The Jesus of Suburbia from Babylon" instead of "from the bible of". In my defence, I was very young when I started listening to Green Day.
