Me too and i was singing it like that in the concert in Chula Vista :ninja:

Damn, this mistake seems to be very popular: I always thought it would be "you're running out of gas", too.

An in "The Grouch", I used to sing "politics don't mean shit to me" instead of "glory days don't mean shit to me"... :whistle

Nice guys finish last

When you run out of gas

You're bent so far back

You might break your spine.

I mean, come on, it makes sense, doesn't it?

In Blood, Sex and Booze, I thought is was 'from a girl called Bill' instead of 'a girl called kill'. I didn't know what he was singing about

Ah! Sorry! I meant to vote your post up, but the mouse slipped! It's the stupid mousepad

Anyway I thought exactly the same thing. Then I thought it was 'from a girl called you'.

And when I first heard the song I would sing 'please don't make me pray for blood, sex and boots you give me'

I used to not be able to understand a damn word of Holiday.

A favorite of mine:

What I thought he said: "The company that lost the war to Dan"

What it really was: "The company lost the war today"

omg we were listening to WMUWSE in the car and my sister randomly says, 'as my TAMBOURINE rests?!' and I'm just like LOL.

Hahahaha. I forgot about this thread. Always good for a laugh.

Good god, that's funny. A girl called Bill. Fantastic.

Isn't it "Don't pat yourself on the back, you'll break your spine"?

Yeah, but it realy doesn't sound like that to me. I got the physical Nimrod CD yesterday and was looking through the booklet and when I read it I was "Oh my god! It's like that?!?!"

In BOBD I heard "Check mu battle lines" instead of "Check my vital signs"

I know it's not a green day song but in Radio by Rancid I always hear "Billie joe Billie joe Billie joe" and not "Radio radio radio" :P

When i read it, it made me laugh :)

hear "bacon", too! i was suddenly laughing really hard because of that and everyone looked at me

I always thought that in Minority it was for crying out loud, she screamed under me

Well...good to know I wasn't the only one who heard it like that :whistle

In I Fought the Law

I heard: "Bacon rocks in the hot sun"

While it was: "Breaking rocks in the hot sun"

Actually, I used to hear "baking rocks in the hot sun", which I found strange cause, how the hell do you bake rocks? Specially under the sun?

My life is filled with those cases, for example I used to think when Jesus of Suburbia says "that don't believe in me", I thought it said "the top believer men" :| WTF! Don't ask where did I get that idea from.

I'm still trying to figure out some phrases that appear in between of some songs like "Longview" (before the last chorus) and in Brain Stew. I can't understand them and they aren't written anywhere :/

I always thought it was that too.

I thought it was just some obscure reference to getting stoned while out in the sun

which exactly?

In Brain Stew live, the crowd always say something in the beggining, when the guitar goes "silent" (?)

And in Longview, BJ says something before the last chorus :/
