haha i figured them out last year. in fact i still prefer it's only me rather than it's home to me. when i first heard american idiot all at once and stuff i read the lyrics sheet and i still don't know why i said it's only me

Yeah I prefer it's only me too. I think the reason I said it's only me is because Billie slurred his words there so it sounded like it( and it made more sense).

Restless Heart Syndrome: I always heard "nose bleeding" instead of "ulcer bleeding" till the day I came up with the idea to actually read the booklet *facepalm*

I thought it was "It's like a nose bleeding in my brain" too!

ahahha

I thought in Saint Jimmy when he says" suicide commando that your momma talked about", I thought he said "same stuff you figure that your mama talks about"

same here!!! that stupid 'im a different person' dance song my mum thought said 'im a different toaster ' made us all laugh. im sure ive done it millions of times, i just cant think of any. I called WD40, WKD40 the other day, made my boss laugh.

haha nice

when i first got into green day and didnt know any lyrics i was listening to them really late at night and headbanging for some reason and i got to paper lanterns and i thought it said "to this day i'm asking why i still think about milk." i think i was headbanging too hard....

Hahaha I just heard on the podcast that on the end of Hitchin A Ride the lyrics are "Hey birthday boys hey"....OMF!!! I couldn't believe it!

And I always thought in 86's chorus was "There's no return from innocence"

There is a song by theory of a deadman called "Little Smirk"

It's about have a guy walks in on his girlfriend cheating on him, and she only smiled a little when she got caught.

The line is:

When I caught you in the act wearing nothing but a Little Smirk!

I heard:

When I caught you in the act wearing nothing but a Little Smurf!

Well, for Jaded- "somebody take my pants I'm think I'm fallin off"

Boulevard of broken dreams "but it's only me and I walk alone"

King for A day- "My Nanny Drew needed therapy"xD I think "my daddy threw me in therapy" makes a lot more sense

Not sure if this is the right thread for this.....In St. Jimmy, is the correct lyric "Upon the Blvd." or "Up on the Blvd"? Looking at the lyrics as written on the actual album it looks very much like "upon" to me...but most lyric sites(including the GDA lyric section) say "Up on".....it's only a small difference....just curious. Thanks

In Homecoming, there's that line 'this life like dream ain't for me'. I first heard 'this life like Tré ain't for me' for ages but I was always a bit confused because it was weird to have such a line. then I thought it was 'this life like Jimmy ain't for me' but I was still wrong.

Homecoming: Where it says "What's your pleasure, what is your pain?" I thougth it was "What's your pleasure, wedding champagne."

No one's posted in here for a while

In My Chemical Romance's song "Our Lady Of Sorrows" it says "This riddle of revenge". Somehow I heard is as "This little plum ravish/radish".

Haha, I was just listening to 'Governator' and I could swear Mike said "And it makes great television, watching Oprah all day" instead of "watching the world end." hahaha

when american idiot came out, after the first time i heard it, you know when you try remember the lyrics in your head..well anyways, i always thought 'media' was 'meteor' so like - 'One nation controlled by the media' became one nation controlled by the meteor... :pinch::pinch: it wasnt till i actually got to listen to it clearly i realised what he was really saying
