Popular Post Thatsername
I love Warning. It has some of my all-time-favourite songs (Macy's Day Parade, Waiting). I actually never got the hate for that album, it's easily in my top 5.
Popular Post Denice
Warning is one of my favorite albums by them. Probably the album I listen to the most actually. 2
MarriedtoMikeDirnt
I was just jamming to Green Day like I usually do 24/7, but this time Spotify threw me for a loop: it decided to play all of Warning in order (my playlist categorized by album in order of release date, and I always put it on shuffle). As I was going through it, I was marveling at how good that album is. Lyrically, it's some of their best work. I can't think of a single complaint about this album (and I can complain about everything). I can't choose a favorite song off this album, so I'll give my top 5 (in no particular order): Blood, Sex, and Booze, Fashion Victim, Waiting, Macy's Day Parade, Hold On. Cassoulet (technically titled Castaway, but everyone knows he's saying cassoulet) gets an honorable mention. 2

I'm not big on the title track, but the rest of the album is just pure genius. Warning will probably forever be tied with Nimrod for my 2nd favorite Green Day album.
Elxufinnishidiot
Yes, Warning is amazing! Every song is a blast. Perfect closer track! All the songs are nostalgic too. Definitely in top 5 albums.

That Dude
The album forever locked into battle with Nimrod for 2nd greatest Green Day record of all time. The only reason Nimrod beats it is due to nostalgia. Nimrod was my introduction to the band and that's huge, but if we're strictly going be percentage and forgetting everything else, it goes to Warning. Second best Green Day album behind Idiot. Warning has enough time to have it's own nostalgia now as well. It was the first Green Day record that I bought right around release time. and then that 1-2-3 punch of Warning / International Superhits / Shenanigans. Oh man. It's never a bad time to become a Green Day fan, I tell you! But yeah. While I would love for them to release something strong enough to blow my nostalgia to pieces, I don't think it's possible. Idiot / Nimrod / Warning are my always and forever favorite albums by the guys. I've said this many times before, but really and truly. These albums are etched into my brain like no others. and there's a ton of music up there.

pcj
Prior to the release of Warning, in an interview with the band members, Billie Joe said he was too close to it to comment. However, Tre and Mike gave a very informative guide as to what to expect listening to the album. Apologies for any offence caused. First Tre: "The listener can definitely expect multiple audio orgasms and to cum out of their ear-holes, " enthused Tre. "You won't need Viagra when Warning hits the stands, man." "What we need to do is work out what this record smells like, what it's scent is," Mike helpfully suggested. "Then we can put it out in a scratch 'n' sniff sleeve. So what type of funk does this record portray?" "A wet dog?" asked Tre expectantly. "Yeah," said Mike. "A wet dog. It's funky but it's kinda cuddly. And it's got a puppy breath thing going on." "But not a dog that's just licked it's nuts, right?" says Tre. "Right. That's exactly it." answers Mike. And there yer go. Warning to a tee? 1

pcj
What really pissed me off at the time, was the critics who think they know everything about music, when in fact they know fuck all. They all jumped on the bandwagon, shaking their heads, spewing out the usual shit about Green Day's continue decline. It they had opened their ears, sat down and actually listened to the music, they would have realised this was the next step, a progression, and enjoyed one awesome fuckin album. And we all know what studio album followed Warning. 3

I listened to my CD version and it -still- did it, so I was thinking maybe a batch of CDs got messed, but then I listened to my mom's CD which she bought very recently and it too is glitchy... I mean I know they're human and make mistakes, but it seems like something that might've been intentional, no? I need to watch a live performance is see if they try in any way to replicate this. It's bothered me all these years.
