Alan86
This is the album i have been listing to most in the last week. I love the bass intro on Stuart on the Ave. Armatage shanks, brat and westbound sign are other favourites of mine
BrianD
This is such an unloved album but it's so powerful. I think I quite like that it's the "dark horse" of green day albums. Panic song is such a great song. The intro is tense, building up to an explosion of sound. IMO, this would be amazing live and it saddens me that they don't play it live. The artwork on this album is awesome too.
21st Century
Definitely one of their best albums... I personally think it's because all of the songs are on a similar level of awesomeness...no absolute mega-hits (well, except Brain Stew maybe) and not a single song that I would ever skip on a normal day... you can just listen to the whole album without thinking: 'oh damn 'song x' is next, i think i should skip it to get to 'song y' faster' .......if that makes any sense to you at all...to me it does

I remember when I 1st bought the cd single before insomniac came out. I listened to it on repeat for about a week I think!
Guest drugs
yeah this is definitely a more agressive sound compared to the pop punk dookie . i love geek stink breath, jaded, brain stew, armatage shanks, stuck with me, etc. my all time faves are panic song and stuart and the ave though c0z mike's bass really kicks ass

PasalacquaBomb
I love this album a lot ... I love listening to it .. especially when I'm kinda angry or something like that. I really think it's underrated and I don't know ... Dookie really was a smash hit but .. I think in some ways .. Insomniac is better than Dookie
Heather!
I forgot how great of a song Armatage Shanks is.
diana5b
definitely most underrated green day album i think Insomniac shows perfectly one of the band's most amazing qualities: the awesome way they combine happy melodies and angry, really angry lyrics. walking contradiction, brat, armatage shanks, bab's uvula who? it's like, you're listening to the song, all happy and fresh and then comes billie grouching and you start singing too and in the end, when the album finishes you realise you just insulted everything and everybody xD and it's cool! haha i love Insomniac
RoosterTeeth
I've always looked at Insomniac as the companion album to Dookie. Almost like they were two sides of the same coin. Both albums have a lot of stuff that an adolescent (or anyone, really) would relate to. Dookie had stuff about boredom, masturbation, personal revelations, and anxiety. Insomniac had stuff about anger and frustration, drugs and being shunned by others. (As well as anxiety.) To this day when I listen either album in its entirety, I have to listen to the other too. It's almost like the whole teenage experience is packed into those two great albums.

November's Storms
Insomniac is my comfort and company album from Green Day! Out of all their albums, if I'm ever in a shitty mood I'd put on Insomniac before any other. It's not my favourite album, that award goes to Nimrod, but Insomniac just seems the perfect remedy for a shitty day for me!
ReLaX
I like just a few songs from insomniac but the album is good

Carolinexoxo
I think insomniac is Brilliant, Its one of those albums that you listen to maybe when your pissed off or just want to listen to something fast. I think that the lyrics (like on all their albums) are pure genious.
CoreyGregory
I really can't figure out if i like this, or Dookie more. I feel this way with many bands. With rancid, do i like Lets Go or Out Come The Wolves, With Weezer, do I like Blue or Pinkerton? Who will ever Know!

AnaArmstrong
God, I LOVE INSOMNIAC! Maybe it's one of my fav albums (ok, I love them all indeed) and every single album reflects a particular emotional moment. When I'm angry and sad and I want to escape from everything and everyone, I just listen to Insomniac and it gives me the strength to fight against this shitty world! It's perfect when you feel lonely and you've a lot of rage inside! Stuck With Me - Walking Contradiction - No pride And JADED!!!! It's a really hardcore-punk song! I totally love it! thisguy3496
IMO 86 should have been released as a single instead of stuck with me.

pasalacqua_or_bust
I've been listening to Insomniac nonstop lately. It's the perfect album to listen to when you're pissed off or just hating life in general. I used to listen to Nimrod and Dookie a lot more, but over the years I've developed a really deep appreciation for Insomniac. It's so desolate. And Stuck With Me? Amaaaazing.
