It was absolutely great! :) The boys looked amazing and of course the video was great! It kinda reminded me of the Whatsername video but so much better because well Whatsername.... (not the song but the video haha)

^ yeah... Those two blond girls totally remind me of watsername, Jos, and Holiday videos XD

It was much better to watch it on tv =) But I still find the video nothing special

I saw like 4 times, the video plays on MTV rocks each hour.

The only parts I liked were the guys... and that's about it. It'll probably grow on me, I only watched it once so far. It just didn't appeal to me much.

I really liked it, considering I hate the song.

They did as good of a job as they could have done with that song. Something a little different. I liked the annoying blonde dancers. They were SUPPOSED to be annoying, naysayers.

In any case, WAY better than KYE and 21 Guns.

Amazing. It differs from other GD videos but I don't like those chicks who are dancing in it.

I don't think they're meant to be likeable. They're there as a contrast to Gloria. She's the "last of the American girls", she has real character and beliefs and is just going about her day as normal. The two dancers represent the opposite of that - superficial, attention-grabbing victims of celebrity culture who can only desperately try to copy Gloria.

You are right.

I'm getting the video now. And more people will after they read this.

I haven't thought about this, but this explains everything actually :')

Thanks. :)

I thought it was alright. Definitely not my favorite video from this album and the song has never been one of my favorites on the album, I was just pretty...meh about the whole thing. The cinematography was pretty though.

That's exactly how I interpreted the video. I think the video is great, cause it fits the song. I don't think it could have been better, as in EPIC and stuff xD And yay for Fishy to appear once again..

It's really growing on me the more I watch it.

It makes me laugh that Gloria's "little book of conspiracies" is Fun with Psychoanalysis. It all makes sense.

I didn't really like the video at first (although the exploding car was epic :D), but after reading everyone's thoughts on it, I think it's pretty good. Not great, but I like how they used 2 annoying blonde dancers to represent the girls that try to fit in and be like everyone else, so I like how they used that to show that Gloria doesn't care about fitting in and stuff. :)

Yeah, that's what I liked about it too. Except for maybe the beginning of the video when it's dark. :)

Anyway, no matter how many times I watch the video, I can't get used to the blonde girls. I cringe every time I see them pull Gloria out of bed.

I am really getting into this video!

love it how those two girls seem to represent the modern society which Gloria is trying to escape from.

like i said, in my opinion the video is great and a loved it

i think that make the video i the desert was a good idea (why? i dont know xd)

and i completly understood why Marc used those blondies because, i mean, GLORIA IS THE LAST OF THE AMERICAN GIRLS, she is unique and the blondies represent the common people.

and well, personally, i think Lisa is a awesome actress ^^ and she did a excelent job.

about Green Day, they looked so pretty and im glad that they decided to include Jason on it.and... oh god i love the Billie's faces :woot: and when Mike... ok, doesnt matter i dont know the word in english xD

oh and Tré  his faces and the way that he moved his head when he played the drums *-*

SO, in conclusion :sherlock: the video is awesome :woot: (in my opinion) its better that KYE and 21 Guns

Tan Tan ♫ :)

The video allows the return of Gloria, the star and theme of the song, and tells a lot more about who she is. Over all, it shows that she is just another ordinary person, living life boringly and seemingly methodically. From start to finish she stands out from the crowd and despite the influence around her, she stays true to who she is. To me, the dancers around her symbolize the influence on girls today to become a cheerleader, or blonde, or a supermodel, or something incredibly beautiful. Gloria has that around her all day long just like every other American girl, except she is so true to herself that the dancers follow her and do as she tells them to do. Her independence and thirst for some sort of outlet for her deep-seeded rage is something she so desperately craves. And it's when she gives in to what seems to be Christian's influence, to blow shit up, that she finally smiles.

Nobody's been able to rip it yet? :o

I don't think so, MTV videos are hard to rip. But even if they weren't, I'm waiting for an HQ or HD download (so far I've made the same mistake every time and ended up with 4 versions of the same thing on my computer ).
