Yeah it's a really good one. Even though I don't necessarily think it's entirely accurate that *everyone* is bisexual I'm sure that most people have thoughts about their own sex every once in awhile, even if they would never care enough to do more than think. Either way, one must applaud him for his honesty.

Nowadays, I think they find questions like that to be almost a joke. They just kind of shrug it off. Which is fine. I'd get sarcastic, too.

I've never believed he's a bisexual for real!

He's never been in a relationship or at least romantically linked to a man!

I've never been in a relationship with a man or a woman, and yet I cry and masturbate to both Dita Von Teese and Green day.

And I'm Bisexual

Long live Billie Joe Armstrong! I really love his view of life in general! And him of course!

Same here. I read his interviews and I'm like "He's so damn right!" I think exactly the same... like everyone's born bisexual.

Thanks for sharing btw, because I've never seen the whole quote, but always only the first part.

I have a strange view of sexual orientations, so it'd be too long/weird to explain mine or my opinion on them in general. Billie Joe, I think, has it right. He doesn't go around parading how gay or fab he is, and he's not like super manly. He's not afraid to show he has emotions, which is pretty cool. I would listen to him if he was gay/straight/bi.

it still puzzles me why people think he is. bi. that interview was in 1995, he has been married all that time and has two kids. people's minds change it is quite possible that his has. the fact that these people are having to quote a 15 year old interview to make the point says a lot, really.

You don't change sexual orientations when you get married. >_>

no, but you change your mind about things over time, surely.

yes, it would be interest to hear what BJ says about his orientation now.... people do grow up and have different points of view... that's the great thing about life !!!

I remember this statement he made, that was quite a long time ago. I remember another statement too which was made a few years after that one posted, I can't remember if it was on tv or in an article but it was basically about the original statement and he backed it up but also added while he has no problems kissing men etc he has never gone the whole 9 yards and had no desire to either. So while I believe he is Bi it seems he does have limitations on what he would or would not do in that sense.

I think its so cool that billie never made a big deal out of being bi or not........ Hes honest and thats what makes him so authentic.......

Maybe Billie just knows love knows no bounds, and he just happened to fall in love with a girl. I don't think he exactly craves dick either, but whatever, it's all good.

His mind may have changed, but he can't change his sexuality.

I wonder what he would say now? I'm pretty sure it would be the same, It's funny that nobody ever asks Mike or Tre about that kind of thing.

If I had to guess, I'd say they're all bisexual.

Mm, maybe not per se bisexual, but I don't think they have strict boundaries or anything.

I feel slightly creepy talking about that and it not being contemplating (is that the right word?) a quote or anything..

Contemplating is a word, but I always thought it meant to think of. Like you were contemplating suicide.

I know what you mean, they aren't bisexual PER SE, but they're open for ideas, haha. That's what I think.

I did read in Jon Ginoli's book that when talking about preferences, that Tre referred to them as bisexual. I don't think he specified who, whether he meant just him or Billie or all three of them. In the same quote Billie had said he'd had fantasies and had thought about going further but never had. Again though this was in 1994, when that first quote came from, so who knows how they all feel about it now.
