valentinesandcigs
At the end of the day it doesnt matter what song is picked cos its too late for the album to make an impact, they should of had EJN as the 1st single and make a big effort with an amazing video to get some hype just like with AI. I think after the tour is finished they might seriously consider where the band is heading with the likes of Paramore and MCR getting more attention, The days of Green Day being a chart topping band are over and we can only blame Warner for their crappy way of handling the situation, with any luck maybe this will make the guys see sense and jump over to Adeline so they can do what they want, im sure by now they know how to deal with things like tours and publicity and i doubt money will be a problem for themI agree with all of this. i have a feeling indie is where they're gonna go next

Who knows what the future will bring?your right i guess everyone thought they were done with warning but look at American idiot. But on the indie conversation look how much fun they have when they play the small club shows i like to believe they miss those days in a way and wanna try it again. Penguin Puffball
I'm gonna sound like a total stupidfuck here, but what exactly is indie? Like, what's the sound and why would that be caused by warner failing to promote them?
LetItBeHappy
IDEK what a hipster is. D;if IDEK means I don't even know, I agree with you xDThey could make their own label with a ridiculous name and with a weird logo though I mean, as an Adeline sucursal

Like, what's the sound and why would that be caused by warner failing to promote them? Indie rock is basically music on an independent label like lookout! the first 2 green day albums are considered indie albums. And sometimes when bands sign to a major label they get fed up with the crap that the label are doing and they go indie. in this case warner failing to promote Green day means Green day might go indie

Like, what's the sound and why would that be caused by warner failing to promote them?Indie basically means an Independent label, basically with no fuding like a major record label. Therefore, they would be less promotions, well maybe, but less money initially, but I think Green Day could def pull it off on an Indie label. But the sound has nothing to do with it Green Day will still sound like Green Day
LetItBeHappy
what they should do is put Green Day to the side, pick either The Network or FBHT and try and change the face of music for the new decade. look at what Stop, Drop and roll did in terms of the album and singles chat, i dont remember them advertising at all yet they still got the album and Mother Mary into the charts, move the band to Adeline and take a new album seriously even if it is still just a side project. The results might just surprise us all, everyone is crying out for a return to the 60sNEVER. Stop, drop and roll was for the fun, and The Network... I'm not sure why they smoked the night it happened for the first time, but it's just for the moment too. Green Day is their main job...and besides, I still think that the Foxboro Hot Tubs are WAY too much alcohol :/

Penguin Puffball
Ohh, okay, thanks. And I don't think they'd go too far with FBHT and The Network....I mean, after all, they were just side projects.
Punk Rock Love
Damn, I thought Last Of The American Girls was one of the weaker songs on 21CB. There's SO many other great songs they could have made into a single. I'm disappointed. :/
Penguin Puffball
I'd rather a full Network tour than a full FBHT tour. :/
