Marlee
I was watching NCIS, and this guy was trying to ask this girl out but she kept saying no. He then said "But It's Green Day!" and held out 2 tickets. She kept saying no. He then said, "who turns down Green day?!?!" It made me laugh
Laura!
I was at the mall the other day and we went into a store and on our way out one employee came up to me and asked me if I'd like to see the American Idiot musical (I was wearing a GD shirt). I was stunned so I said "Uhhhmmm, yeah. Do you?" And he said "hell yes, it looks amazing!" And then I asked him if he was a fan and he answered, "yes, huge fan since 1993" and I was all like It's not really a reference, it was just awesome. Alllllli.
In Muse magazine (a pre-teen science-y magazine that I subscribed to when I was 11-isj) there was a photo of Billie upside down but his facial features were the right way up - I can't remember what it's called, but it was a mini-article about how when faces are upside down we can't tell if the features are the right way up or not. I have NOT explained that well! And also in a book, which I can't remember the exact name of (it's a silly teenage girl book about a girl who becomes a 'popstar') and the main character's fella is into Green Day, so she sings Welcome to Paradise to a bunch of fan girls. Weird!

Conspiracy.
It's not really a reference, but today in chemistry I was so bored that I stared at the Periodic Table of Elements all the time. And I found some GD elements! Like, element 64 is Gd for Green Day no. 43 is Tc for Tre Cool no. 101 is Md for Mike Dirnt and so on. Gosh, I'm a nerd. Joy of suburbia.
I was watching this show called Degrassi and one characters, Darcy gave the other character Spinner a mixed CD and she put Green Day on it and Spinner was like, "Nice." and...not a Green Day reference but still...this was pretty fucking awesome. My dad got this package from FedEx and on the package label was SDR, the abbreviation for Stop Drop and Roll and then underneath that was some numbers and letters and it was like, 122288 38990 REV 829284. I was like, "HOLY SHIT!! DOUBLE FOXBORO TUBS REFERENCE!!" and my dad was like, "Calm down...it's a FedEx package...not 10 million dollars." Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love
In a column someone mentioned a random number, and it was 86. I noticed it because it was the only number in there, it was like "blabla and 86 of blabla" and 86 was so random so I noticed it.
Billie Kristy
lol. a lot of 86 references today. When i went to the gym this afternoon, I noticed I didn't have a locker there yet, and i had to keep my stuff somewhere. So I went to the information desk, and I asked them if I finally could have a locker there. The girl behind the desk asked me where I wanted my locker, and I told her I wanted it near to the pool. And she told me I could pick 80 or 86. that was scary.
