Laura!
I was riding in the elevator in my hotel today and this guy comes in and sees my shirt. He asks me if I like Green Day since I'm wearing one of their shirts and of course I say yes, then he tells me of his nephew who got on stage to play guitar at Madison Square Garden and Billie let him keep the guitar. VanVan
I also wanna have homework like this <img src="http://www.greendaycommunity.org/Forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> that's really amazing I can't think of any unexpected places where I've seen something related to Green Day right now ... the only thing that comes to my mind is the bathroom in our school. Somebody (basically me xD) wrote Saint Jimmy on the wall .. pretty huge ... everytime I'm depressed in school I just need to go to the bathroom and <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> it helps ... really =) haha ever since i saw the video for st jimmy i have wanted to do that

Morgawr
There's a clothes store in Birmingham UK called BHS. I've been in there twice and both times they've been playing a really shitty cover version of "Good Riddance". The first time i heard it took me a while to realize it was a Green Day song because it was so shit. I was standing there thinking "where have I heard this song before?" Moffie
I was looking at pictures of rooms of the Student Housing building I'm going to be living in and in the kitchen area, there was a poster of Green Day on the wall. Can that be a standard in every suite?

Moffie
I'm reading this book and one of the characters wakes up to the doorbell ringing. The doorbell is Green Day's "American Idiot." Best.Doorbell.Ever. Edit: It was a dream but she wakes up and hears the song in the next room. Still, wouldn't that be the best doorbell ever? Ahh I'm fairly sure I read that book too! I read it in Dutch though so idk if it's the same book. Must be though because the situation was exactly the same. (and lol, I also put it in this thread when I read it think there's another Green Day reference just a couple pages after that one, but I'm not sure) edit: yeah, same book (no wonder I didn't recognize the title...the Dutch title is way different). Wikipedia ftw.

Isabel
Someone bought a bottle of wine in work earlier and it was €10.39. Someone also bought soup and the expiry date was June 23rd; the day of the Marlay Park concert And I spent about 10 minutes talking to one of the regular customer sabout Green Day and how I was going to see them in Europe. She was saying how she really loves them (which was a huge shock to me) and that her boyfriend is going to see them in Marlay Park but she can't because she has to work. I was like the entire time. I've been working there for 2 years and not once have we ever had a conversation about GD
