This has probably been mentioned already over the past 66 pages but in Weezer's song El Scorcho they reference Green Day in the lyric; "I asked you to go to the Green Day concert, you said you never heard of them..."

Futurama just now! Bender: I refuse to fight! I'm a conscientious (sp) objector.

Fry: a what?

Bender: You know, a coward.

ive just spent the last 21 hours in the GDC chat...

and im planning on staying there :D

a) umm.....

b) how is that a gd reference?

One day in my english lesson.

I wanted to go to my seat and suddenly I saw the lyrics of 21st Century Breakdown wrote on MY the table with a pen.

The day before it wasnt there and I went on with writing the lyrics.

The next day the guy or girl who had started it, finished the lyrics and I still don't know who it was.

It was creepy because, it was at my table and no one else in my class or year likes Green Day. Kinda like a miracle xDD

:o maybe it was St Jimmy :o

you need to find them, whoever wrote it.

once i was walking down the street and i saw a pedestrian crossing, i walked there and started singing "Pedestrian, Is What I Am! "

and once i was at disneyland and saw the Kerplunk! game and i was like "WTH?"

and when i hear someone say "she" i start singing "she, she screames in silence"

I know that episode! I once posted that here too! =D

(sorry, I barely ever recognize things from shows, so it's a happy thing if I do)

In Hawthorne Heights; new song Nervous Breakdown, in the chorus it says "I'm gonna have a breakdown"... every time, my brain can't resist connecting it to 21st Century Breakdown.

i'm reading this book called Paper Towns and in this girl's room, the narrator was listing some of the albums she had and he said Green Day.

not that cool, but I always get excited when I see something random about them.

I was talking to my Dad earlier as we painted our box room (your average fun activity on a Sunday evening) and I was messing with the paint brush. He goes "Stop fuckin' around!" in this really silly voice. And my inevitable response was....any takers? :P

I was watching recent ANTM reruns this weekend and Tyra looks at one of the model's final picture and mentions that her facial expression looks like she's thinking, "I smell a dookie." And her and the new judge kept saying, "Dookie."

The other day I was reading some of the archives of The Dysfunctional Family Circus, an old website where people would send in their own captions for Family Circus comics. For this cartoon:

Someone sent in the caption, "I sit at home and watch the tube, but nothings on... I changed the channel for an hour or two..."

Today had sooo many references.

I saw a licence plate reading RB-DG-**, which I misread as RBGD, which is Rock Band Green Day. (that one's kinda lame)

Someone wore a shirt with 1972 on it (not too much of a good one either)

In our English book was a line that said "They could hear them singing" (Before the Lobotomy lyric reference), effigies, the words drama and Queen seperated by only one word, the teacher said vendetta, and it said Rev. (some name) in a picture. I know most of those aren't the strongest of references, but I always notice lyric references because English isn't my native language, and some of the words I even learned from lyrics.

And I saw a pen, it said "uni-ball" on it, and I couldn't help but think of Tre and crack up in the middle of class.
