Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love
I was watching Spongebob and Squidward said "rest in pieces", which reminded me of Too Much Too Soon.Well, actually he said it in Dutch ('rust in delen' instead of 'rust in vrede'), but I still recognized it
Tre_Gina
Doing the weekly shop in Morrisons and the played "Time of your Life", but it wasn't GD singing. It was some dreadful country and western cover. OUTRAGEOUS!!!I nearly complained to management!I bet that was Glenn Campbell, I was also outraged when I heard it, he has also covered a Foo Fighters song - not good. Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love
My mom. She was like, "there's this expression, kinda like *Dutch expression*, but like, ehmm, what was it again?" and then when I was about to say it she said it was "today is the first day of the rest of your life" (which was also what I was gonna say), and that reminded me of Church on Sunday.I post too much in this thread. Nele
Today was a quite horrible day in english, I was bored to death. I read the words boulevard, hours, roots, lightyears amd other random ones and every time I was like " That's a Green Day song! "Quite sad... sammers93
I was at Blockbuster and they have Rockband there. I was playing drums for 21 Guns and this little girl came up and started watching. She was all like "I have this game at home. Except mine is Beatles Rockband...oh wait, this is Beatles Rockband!" I was just standing there thinking "Uuuhhhh...no. This is Green Day." Katarina.
The most random reference I made was when I looked out of my window yesterday, and saw the number plate (?) on a house across the street. It's number 21, and I immediately thought of 21CB
Rosie May
The Queen musical is over hear for a while and there was an article about it in the newspaper today with the headline, "Queen for a Day." :teehee:Needles to say I thought of King for a Day. Katarina.
^ I had a similar reference the other day. I was looking for Birthday cards when I found one with "Queen for a Day" on it. At first I thought it said KFAD..
Isabel
My Law lecturer was talking about contributory negligence today and she was like "In such and such a case, the plaintiff was of the KNOWLEDGE that..." and it genuinely sounded like she emphasised the word knowledge It was just funny though, because she said it and I instinctively laughed in response. But as she said it, my friend asked me what date it was. All I heard was the word knowledge so it was like "Hey, is today the 27th?" and I was like "Hahaha!" and she was like Ahh, you had to be there I guess rolleyes:
Lyz Z
Pretty much everything I see, I can relate to Green Day in some way or another...Like for example, a place we had to drive down to get to our Green Day concert was Olympic BOULEVARD (Yes, everytime I see the word Boulevard, I automatically think of Green Day). And on a maths test at school, one of the questions included the number 1039, and next to it I was so tempted to write "/smoothed out slappy hours. (:". Isabel
God, I had at least 3 today! In Economics, my lecturer said "Markets are good because they move towards equilibrium." I spazzed out a little bit because I've never heard that word anywhere else We were all walking to the shop earlier to get some lunch and across the road, there was this chemist called "Remedy" and I immediately thought of A Quick One...I just checked my emails there and I have 80 in my inbox!
