They had a trailer on the radio for The Spy Next Door and I heard Know Your Enemy. I was like "Dad! Dad! Listen!" "What?" "The song! It's Green Day!" " "

I was looking through old photo albums this morning and there was a picture of my brother when he was really young wearing a tshirt that said "See the Light" on it :P

And today my dad was wearing a hat that said Oakland on it, no idea where it came from lol but he's never been there...

And just now on Facebook someone posted a thing that said "Public service announcement:..."

I was watching the Wire last night, and one of the characters used the phrase "salad days," I had never heard it before Billie used it

wasn't it something from Shakespeare or something?

just remembering what someone once said on GDC, I've never read Shakespeare (should I put a :ninja: there? xD)

and I have no idea what it means, haha.

I thought it meant something like the time in your life when you were young and innocent

I was reading Seventeen and Green Day's in it this month!

Well kinda... not really.

It's talking about this girl that got free Green Day tickets and it has a tiny microscopic image of Billie Joe but I still flipped shit.

According to Wikipedia, you're correct :D. It's like the peak of your life, too.

Oh God don't remind me :( I need to organize a party with everyone to mourn the loss, and celebrate its life!

I knew GD was on the 100 Most Shocking Music Moments (or whatever it's called) on VH1, but I didn't realize they used American Idiot in the intro to the episodes until I saw it today!

Today in Law, the lecturer was talking about Tort and she used the word Minority in her notes. I smiled :D

Haha, I'll just be having a conversation with my friends and they'll say something that reminds me of Green Day and I just laugh to myself.

For example, one time my friend was calling someone a jackass and I started laughing. They get so mad at me :D And, yes, I only watch the Simpsons movie for the Green Day part, haha.

I only watch it for that bit too! I recorded the whole film in HD once just to see that one bit (even though I like the simpsons, that is undoubtedly the best bit :P)

A guy came into work yesterday. He had a really strong American accent and sounded, which sounded a bit like Green Day's. He asked for a Caffe Latte, and his accent and what he asked for just reminded me of that part in BIAB where somone says Caffee Latte. It was his accent too, because i live in Britain and we don't usually get American Accents. It was weird because the guy was old.

Haha I remember that. They say something like "Cafe latte....um, no a latte?" like the person doesn't hear them or something?

I was in the Cambridge branch of the shop Republic and they had a sort of music and poster montage/collection on the wall outside the changing rooms. And it included the album cover of Warning but only the part with Billie Joe on it and some of the words Green Day. I wouldn't particually excpect them to be on the wall of Republic - i don't know if it's the same in all their shops.

Yeah I had a feeling it meant something like that. I never heard the phrase before Green Day used it and I heard it once before somewhere else.

I saw my first gd reference on a number plate today! There was some random trailer with no lights and nothing attached to it in a parking lot with "BJ" on the number plate :P
