Green Day flavoured? Lip balm that tastes like 40 year old men? Eww.

Y'all know that's the only lip balm I would wear.

In the background of the german TV show "Rach der Restauranttester", they played Walking Alone today. Alright, they're playing it again while I'm writing this, should I be scared now? :ninja: The reason why I'm actually posting is that I've never heard Walking Alone being played on TV so far! ;)

I saw this quote in the newspaper today: "There's a difference between a philosphy and a bumber sticker." (Charles M. Schulz, American cartoonist, 1922-2000).

It made me think of Green Day's song Warning! "Get your philosophy from a bumber sticker"!!

Listening to the radio this morning, they were talking about bands that have changed. The first band they bring up: Green Day. Apparently they became "too political". They played a part of Longview and 21 Guns to compare the two. It was cool to hear a bit of Longview and 21 Guns on the radio again though.

In the beginning of the film Dogma, the credits talk about how much they hate platypuses (platypi?)

Today was the first day of my apprenticeship as industrial clerk and the radio was playing in the bureau and then Holiday came! :D I could really work better with listening to this song. :lol: And the second thing what comes to my mind now is not a Green Day reference directly but kind of, the city's name where I have my apprenticeship is Grünstadt and that means Green City. :lol: And the third thing is I played Wake Me Up When September Ends on drums at a second trial lesson at a different drum teacher today! :D

At the library at my school, we have a wall that people can write stuff on, like their favourite quotes, poem verses, phrases etc. Someone wrote Carpe Diem

Listenin to the radio. The station sometimes plays small sections of songs and put their own words on top. They just did it to Scumbag :woot: Shenanigans on the radio (sort of) :woot:

Today in Maths class we were given this formula:

OA = ai + bj

I quickly made my reminder trick: "Oakland = American Idiot + Billie Joe".

not really a reference but yesterday i was at the local record store, going through the "10 bucks section" with "not so famous records of famous bands" (like three cheers of sweet revenge or all we know is falling), then i nearly shat my pants when i saw an old, used-looking copy of foot in mouth^^

unfortunately i did not have enough money to buy it, but if it's still there tomorrow, i'm definitely gonna pick it up :D

That happened in the morning. That night I listened to the same station, and I heard a hey-oh like from the end of the recording of Green Day doing We Are The Champions. Then they played Know Your Enemy from Awesome As Fuck. :dance:

I was watching the History Channel and they were doing a show about gadgets that changed the world and one of them was the Les Paul electric guitar and they showed a picture of Billie Joe and his white one! Cool.

Today our math professor assitant was explaining something about vector subspaces and direct sums and such, all very abstract, so desperate for a simple ilustration of what he was trying to explain he decided to use a band as an example: "Well it's like you have a band: you have a singer, a guitarist, a bassit and a drumer. But if the singer can also play the guitar, like the guy from Green Day, then you could kick out the guitarist and still have a band, like Green Day."

And two trimesters ago my math professor (the actual professor, not the assitant) noticed I was wearing a Green Day concert t-shit, and asked if I hadbeen to that cocnert (it was the 2nd Madison Square Garden one from 2009), and I said yes, then asked if I had been to the one in Caracas (which actually took place in this university) and of course I said yes, and he was like "I'm so jelous, I which I had been able to go."
