Hermione
The Million Pound Drop is on and here's the question that was just asked: What's the name of Ozzy Osbourne's band? White Stripes, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, or Green Day? Lmao. Million Pound Drop is the most moronic quiz on TV.

wubbzy
Posted this as a seperate thread but someone decided to lock it. I thought it was worth it's own thread since the film was out-right bashing Green Day and I don't really approve of that.. I'm watching the film God Bless America at the moment and there is a scene in which the two main characters are discussing things they hate and they mention Green Day. They say something along the lines of 'Fall Out Boy and Green Day suck shit through ten bricks' With the exception of that line I'm quite enjoying the movie.... Sarcasm
^that someone was the mods. I think everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But in this case, I would think the one who wrote the script either aimed for provocation or didn't know as much about the music as he thought. Green Day and FOB doesn't suck by definition just because you don't like that kind of music.

They're just characters in a film though. There are plenty of people in the world who would say that so it's realistic to have characters in a film saying it. Doesn't mean it represents the views of the filmmaker, it's just the fictional view of some fictional characters so it means nothing. Lol just as I'm writing this the 21st CB video has come on TV

BJA TC MD
I just came back from a holiday over Easter and found these over the four days: -I saw 140 80km/h signs -Signs for Stuart St. and Armstrong St. -3 Holden Car Dealerships (as in Who Wrote Holden Caulfield?) -11 7-11 shops and an ad for one on the side of a tram -When I found the Bible in my hotel room, the first thing I did was find Genesis 10:8 because that's Nimrod's verse -The hotel's toilet said "GLORIA" -The sink in the bathroom was an Armitage Shanks -There was a plaque in the foyer of the hotel, and it said that the "extensions officially opened on 14 October 1997", Nimrod's release date. -I was listening to the radio in the hotel, and it played Boulevard of Broken Dreams. -I saw a truck that said "Armstrong Nylex" -Saw 2 signs for Dookie, while listening to the album Dookie -I also saw plenty of green trees and grass along the way
