Green Day References

Today my band played a piece and I have a solo in it. When I play the solo there are some low brass instruments playing loudly in the back during it. The notes they play are C Bb Ab G F (for the musical ones). In other words, it's like ¿Viva la Gloria? (Little Girl). I smile whenever I hear it.

Also in a another piece, we have to hold a long note and it sounds like the song is ending, but then it goes all fast again. Everytime we get to that bit, I smile because I am reminded of Mike talking in BIAB when he says something about you gotta be ready for it or else it's like jumping onto a moving train.

There's this Dutch quiz on tv, and when I was watching it today, one of the questions was "What is the name of the band who collaborated with Green Day on this song?".

Before that they showed a short clip of the Saints are Coming. Nice to see Green Day on television when you're least expecting it. :)

This is kinda weird.. but everytime i see the word pornographic (like i did today) i think of the interview where Billie and Mike cant find Tre so they just go on without him xD anyways so in the interview Billie goes, "They think we're porngraphic?" and makes a cute face xD

Today at school, during lunch, we had this band come in to play in the court yard and one guy, who I've spoken to over the internet, requested them to play a Green Day song with him on the drums.

They said they'd play When I Come Around but they never did

In the book I'm reading there was a character (briefly mentioned, in passing) called Mr St. James. I was immediately like: :runaround: SAINT JIMMY! :woot:

I thought the same thing whenever Jesse St. James was mentioned in Glee.

On the third series of How I met your mother there's the "old guy" who Robin is dating that went to a Green Day concert :P And then I found a Green Day song (BOBD) in my English textbook, in the CD attached to the book there was also the track which you can listen to

-I´ve got a book and it´s about 2 boys with leukemia and one of them likes Green Day :)

-When I was in San Francisco a few days ago, in the news there was a report about Billie´s baggy pants problem. First I didn´t pay attention to the news but when they said "Billie Joe Armstrong" I was like

-One day after that news report, there was Welcome to Paradise playing on the radio and after that song they talked about that problem too

-In Oakland I went to that Rudy´s can´t fail Café. It looked really cool but I hadn´t enough time to eat there something

-I saw a Green Day T-Shirt at a Hot Topic store. It wasn´t my size tho.

I'm playing online games and I keep getting ads for hot tubs at the side of the page. I wonder why

Not exactly Green Day, but I found a Lookout records shirt at some t-shirt shop. I kinda regret not buying it even though it was a men's XL.

I was watching the Villisca Axe Murder House episode of Ghost Adventures and they showed a picture drawn of two of the child victims after they were killed, it said "RIP sweet children"

Technically a Green Day reference :P

I'm pretty sure someone has probably posted this already, but oh well, here it goes anyway: in The Smurfs movie, there's this scene where they show some parts of New York and in the middle of that there's a billboard announcing Green Day's American Idiot :D

A few days ago I was at a WinCo and there was a sign for something in the parking lot. I forgot what it was advertizing, but at the bottom in huge red letters it said "Contact Jason White" and then a phone number. Lol, If I would have had my phone I would have prank called it and asked for Jason
