A common sight! Strange that Green Day spell it Armatage Shanks when it's really Armitage Shanks. This thread is quite odd, but I can relate to it so much!

There was a book in the shop called Buddha of Suburbia. Also another one that was 'the Punk Rock activity book' and on page 17 you could colour Green Day. It was also published by ECW press but that's another reference for another time.

Not sure if this can count as a reference, but years back, I saw a bunch of American Idiot merch at a convenience store. I guess that shows how big of an album American Idiot was if you find AI merch in a convenience store. I wonder why I didn't see any 21st CB merch in a convenience store. =/

In the "Secret Santa" episode of the office Andy and Dwight sing Boulevard of Broken Dreams, I completely forgot about this but just saw the episode and it made me smile :)

there's this skateshop called "warning" and they have a similar sticker stuck to the window as the warning logo/sign with the man.

When I was on the Santa Monica Pier two days ago Boulevard Of Broken Dreams was playing.

Yesterday when I was in Yosemite I was wearing my American Idiot New York shirt and the whole time I was walking on the trail there was a guy about 10 feet behind me who was wearing the exact same shirt! Ha I was so excited to see that. I wish I would have said something to him.

I always hear a GD song everytime I go to Santa monica.

Got an email not too long ago from "Handyman Services" saying "Contact local handymen for your home repair"

Too bad the Bay Area is on the opposite coast and not considered local.. I would’ve contacted a certain someone otherwise :ninja::lol:

Chicago's local alternative radio station, Q101, was sold and yesterday was it's last day (before becoming a fucking news/talk station  ). All day the DJs were telling stories of their best memories throughout the years.

One of them told a story about when Green Day was doing their first major tour and played at the Vic Theater. He went onstage to introduce them and the audience started booing him and throwing stuff. He repeatedly told them to "fuck off". Billie came out onto the stage and they got into a fighting match.

Then he mentioned how crazy it was backstage, but unfortunately didn't go into details.

I bought a book today called "Punk the Whole Story" and there is a section about Green Day in it.

I have that book. I read the Green Day section first, then continued with the rest.

How do you like it so far? I thought it was amazing.

I've only read the first couple of pages so far, but I like it already. At borders when I grabbed it, the page I opened up to was Green Day, so I thought that was kinda funny.

They played Wake Me Up When September Ends from Bullet In A Bible on the radio. At least I think it was Bullet In A Bible. The announcer didnt say anything to it

This is more of a GDC reference than a GD one. Yesterday I drove home through the country to avoid construction. I passed through the smallest town I've ever seen - one road, five houses and a grainery. The town was called Andres. :D
