Guest Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 I watched this movie called Angus today and the main kinda song was J.A.R. And during the movie they had this whole contest of calling the radio station when they hear one of their songs being played and they would win concert tickets and backstage passes I think. It was pretty cool and the movie wasn't that bad I guess.

DestinedIdiot Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 My mom and grandmother are watching the TV show "Blue Bloods" while my sister reads and I type away furiously on my computer. I look up at the TV screen every now and again, and there was one scene with a family at a dinner table. I wasn't aware of the context, but I heard the phrase, "When she hears that you got tickets to see American Idiot on Broadway-" and I snapped up my head to look at the screen. After the character had said that, I looked over at my mother (who wasn't paying attention) and said, "American Idiot? I saw that. It was pretty amazing." Then I decided I just had to post this on the References thread on GDC, because this is probably the most obscure reference I've ever seen. I then thought to myself after that, "I officially like this show."
beejeezee Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 Not sure if this counts but I just got a Build-A-Bear today, or made one, and it looks like Billie! He has a little black pinstripe vest, a black tie, black pants, converse, and a cute little plush black guitar! :wu: Now I just need to add black hair . . . Only problem is he's not Billie and everyone thinks he is.
Silverlight Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 Found Adeline clothing today, if that counts as anything

Sarabeth Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 Last week while I was in Vegas I saw a lot of Green Day things. My first night there I was in McDonalds and I was wearing this shirt. A girl walked up to me and said "i love your shirt! I love that band! That is so awesome! You are so awesome! That is the best shirt I've ever seen! Oh my god, you have great taste in music" as then I said thank you and she said "that's all I wanted to say" and she disappeared. I wish I could have gotten her name. Then the next morning I was in the hotel, at the breakfast buffet and Good Riddance started playing at the same moment that Green Day tweeted about something. Then later that day we went to a different hotel and while we were walking through the casino, When I Come Around started playing. Then that night I was walking on the strip wearing my tour shirt and a guy passed me who was also wearing a tour shirt. We both stared at eachothers shirts and then smiled at eachother. Then the next day I saw the Cigarrettes and Valentines video in Planet Hollywood. Ha ha. I love Vegas
