November's Storms Posted January 25, 2011 Share Posted January 25, 2011 I've been travelling around giving talks to school groups about Amnesty International all week, and of course I have worked Green Day into the talk. Talking about the "celebrity endorsements" of Amnesty, my first example is Green Day and I play a clip of Working Class Hero. At the talk I was giving today, it was for a group of children with special needs, but as soon as he heard the song playing one of the guys just shouted "I love Green Day!" and we were talking about them for like 10 mins after my talk. One of the girls in my class commented after me, saying 'GREEN DAY!' I ended up adding her on facebook, and talking to her all day. Our teacher started quizzing us, and he goes, "Okay, how about this one. Fill in the blank. 'It's BLANK time!'" I put lyrics just all over the desk. xD My friend told me everyone in third block was crowding around to see what the desk said. She grabbed my arm and yelled "I fell asleep while watching Spike TV, after ten cups of coffee and you're still not here!"
