JordayC13
I remember once i was messing around with my parents GPS and searched "Green Day", there is actually a Green Day St/Rd/Court or something like that in Australia. I couldn't find it on Google Maps but I'm hoping to soon .

Nele
Really?! How did I miss that?! It's my favorite show... I was gonna say that Know Your Enemy comes on almost every time I go to the mall... It's like they know me or somthing. Yeah, I think both times were in the first three seasons. The first time Ted asks Robin where he could find here new boyfriend and she replies with: "Oh he's at a Green Day concert." Or something like that. And the second time Ted talks about wanting a slideshow with Good Riddance in the background.

TheSaltOfTheEarth
There's always this commercial for Body English (this nightclub) on the radio and it says 'the best in alternative rock... Green Day...Nirvana' etc. It makes me smile. They say Green Day first
Nuclear Winter
For my school band, i also happen to play 21 Guns, apparently theres a music score that you can buy. the thing is though, Written By: Billy Joe 1.They spelled Billie wrong 2. No last name(Armstrong)??? just Billy Joe?? WHAT IS THIS PLUS: OMG i just realized this! Listen to the first 5 secs I've never heard this intro in english before because it was always dubbed to sweedish or norwegian when i was i kid. So i never catched the reference. Thats a nostalgia mindfuck right there. Mind. Blown. From "King For A Day" i suppose? but remember, this is a 1997 song, and im pretty sure that this kid's show existed at this time. Nuclear Winter
HMMMMM I wonder what was the motivation for the author for this painting. Looks like the scene on the Holiday Music Video in the bar. The dude on the left of the painting looks like Tre Cool. Or is that just me?

I thought all three of them were supposed to be in there so I had my face real close to the screen until I realized it wasn't them hahaha XD Some references I can remember: - my sister heard someone humming "When I Come Around" at school today - yesterday someone on the radio said "no rhyme or reason" - and there have been lots of sightings of people wearing Green Day shirts/hoodies! Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love
In Latin class today, the teacher was discussing the text we had to translate, and kept talking about how we were going to deal with [the word] duci later, how we were first doing this and then duci because that was hard etc. "Duci" sounds exactly the same as "Dookie". I've seen and heard the word a LOT of times, but because she kept highlighting it in her speech, I immediately noticed it. It was a fun five minutes when she kept saying funny things about it when you thought about it in the context of "dookie" instead of "duci". Woo, I am a master in killing funny things! http://i970.photobucket.com/albums/ae188/NuclearWinter09/boulevardofbrokendreams.jpg HMMMMM I wonder what was the motivation for the author for this painting. Looks like the scene on the Holiday Music Video in the bar. The dude on the left of the painting looks like Tre Cool. Or is that just me? Damn, is that painting called Boulevard of Broken Dreams? I never knew that! I don't know how I remember it, but a couple of years ago, that painting was one of the examples or something for Art class, something to do with contrast warm-cold or whatever, I don't exactly know, but anyway, I've seen it before. Funny how I've seen dozens and dozens and dozens of painting when discussing contrast, and I actually remember one.

Pres
Well as for references go every time my art teacher has something important to say to us he say " I have a public service announcement" or "this is a public service announcement" making me instantly think of warning. He also made me think of horse shoes and hand grenades when he told the people who were late for class "almost only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades" because they were almost on time. GenerationZer0
My science teacher was playing 21st Century Breakdown today. Not just the song, but the whole album. I was amazed that teachers can actually listen to good music, and a bit frightened that I have the same taste in music as him. And I got an 86 percent on my math test. Nuclear Winter
A new supply teacher came in today for music class, and no one in the class knew him. He told the class to play music, but somehow specifically ME, He pointed his finger at me, and said, Now just don't walk in the practice rooms and play Green Day like mad. That day I had my guitar in the practice rooms, and ended up playing Green Day anyway, taking advantage of the teacher I was actually supposed to practice my Trombone. lol
Emilie
In a book I was reading rage and love was mentioned. And we were talking about refugees, asylum seekers, and in general, displaced people. The teacher looks at us and says "They run, they run away" And I looked at my friend and whispered "To find what they believe" Then I realised that at least that part of JOS could've been written about refugees and asylum seekers, it really fits.
