That's so cool! And wow that's a lot of emails to go through.

- I was watching The Aviator last night and in one scene they needed clouds in the sky for a film they were shooting. There weren't any clouds for days, then all of a sudden one guy comes out running and goes "I found clouds!!! There's clouds in Oakland!!!" and then Howard Hughes (the main character) screams "OAKLAND!!! WE'RE GOING TO OAKLAND!!!" :woot:

- In a later scene, Hughes calls up a guy to order chocolate chip cookies and the guy's name was Jimmy.

- Oh and later there was a llama! (I already posted that a few days ago but jeez that part just makes me laugh) :D

Holy cow! That sounds like Green Day gone techno. XDDD

It's like The Network on speed

And I love it when people make GD references without a clue that they're doing it!

Reading the Lonely Planet's guide to the USA, I stumble across this under the music section.

'Even today with hip hop having unsurped rock n roll as America's outlaw sound, rock survives. Listen to the White Stripes, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the Black Keys or Green Day and you'll hear that rock and roll is alive, well and definitely kicking.'

Also, I was listening to the radio and they asked people to send in their different experiences of encores at shows. One reply went along the lines of 'I went to a Green Day show and throughout the show they had a big 'Green Day' sign lit up behind them. When they ran off stage the sign went off. Then it became to turn on and off gradually, telling people to chant Green Day in time with sign. It was so staged/bad/fake/ blah blah something critical.'

I was watching some boring history channel movie about the last stand of the 300 Spartans in school and this one guy kept saying "infantry" over and over again. the class was pretty quiet and around the 50th time he said it I started singing Know Your Enemy from the back of class. i am proud to say "the choir infantry revolts against the honor to obey" is stick stuck in the heads of some of my friends

and last year i was reading this book, the second book in the Daniel X series by James Patterson, and it is just full of Green Day references! Halfway through the book the main character is listening to 21st Century Breakdown and then later the guy gives himself a bad haircut with the justifications or trying to look like Billie (and his name was spelt wrong. "What? I was trying to look like Billy Joe Armstrong, the lead singer of Green Day!" or something like that... I wish i owned a copy of that book, it was excellent). I swear that book made my year.

I went to this amusement arcade and there was a "Record your own song" booth in there. It was pretty rad and had a tonne of songs, but I was shocked when I saw there were 3 Green Day songs: American Idiot, Boulevard of Broken Dreams, and WMUWSE. The rest was all pop music so I wasn't expecting to see that!

When Munster (an Irish rugby team) come out onto the field, they play the fast part of 21st Century Breakdown. Even though I'm from Leinster (Munster's rival club), I still support Munster for this!

Also in Dublin today, I saw a sign for a mobile phone company that just said "talk is cheap"

Well I was watching this show on monday called 'Tiener moeders' wich is dutch for 'Teen mom', and wich is also kinda a teen mon/sixteen and pregnant rip-off, and there was this 15 year old girl sleeping in her bedroom. And when they were about to wake her up I heard the intro of No One Knows playing in the backround, and after a few seconds I realized that they zoomed in on a huge Green Day poster in her room, and I was all like:

My mum got me this cool arm wrestling game/toy for my birthday, there's two little plastic men and you each tap a button as fast as you can to make them arm wrestle.

According to the box the little men's names are Big Bill Bicep and Arnie Armstrong :D
