sammers93
Not really a "reference" but my local alt. rock radio station 89x did an interview with Billie yesterday. I don't remember much and they haven't posted it on their website, but I remember he said "Whether you write about relationships or politics, you gotta keep evolving." He also said something about psychopathic killers, but I didn't catch all of it. The one thing he said that concerns me a little is that he said (according to the interviewer) he doesn't know how long Green Day will be a band, but he will always be in music. I told people about it on twitter and everyone went INSANE.
AdelineGrenades
My brother was watching the Suite Life on Deck (it's a Disney show) and there was this guy who wanted to make a musical, and he says something like "Well if Green Day can turn an album into a hit Broadway show, why can't I?" And the other guy says "But Green Day is one of the biggest bands in the world..." I was like This, and Nickelodeon's show Big Time Rush. The boy band is singing in the studio, and they ask how they did. Their producer responds, "Green Day sounds great, you guys make me want to vomit." Who would've thunk that they'd be having mentions in kids shows And in the movie Juno, the step mom says, "Why'd you drive out to East Jesus Nowhere?" musefan
Apparently my guitar/AP Music Theory teacher was a huge Green Day fan when they first started. He always talks about them in the middle of class randomly.

sammers93
That's a bit weird ... did Billie say it, or the interviewer? The interviewer only SAID that he said it. So, he either probably never said it or she just twisted his words around. btw... 86 posts woo! Yeah I took that picture at an airport. Maybe that's some kind of airport code or something. My dad told me it means "foreign object damage" xD He's an airplane nerd...

If he did actually say that and it wasn't the interviewer twisting his words a little, I reckon he meant that music is very important to him and with or without Green Day he will always be making music. Not that Green Day is breaking up, but if they did that it wouldn't stop him from being a musician. Idk those kind of comments that the guys say without thinking and will probably never think about again can cause fans to go apeshit. Yeah. That's why I never really took it to mean they were breaking up.
