Green Day References

I've been on vacation, so I caught a bunch of references while I was gone...

So I walk into Game Stop, and the TV in there was playing the LOTAG video on VH1. :o

There was a marquee that said "U r 4 given" ...I guess that could count as a reference.

I saw a road sign that said "Christie Avenue," which is similar to Christie Road.

Really lame reference, but I saw a Mexican restaurant named Trejos...the first part reminded me of Tre, and the second part reminded me of JOS. :pinch::lol:

When I walked into Hot Topic, a guy in there complimented me on my Green Day shirt. Not really a reference, just thought I'd share.

And just a few minutes ago, I saw a Heineken commercial that used the slogan "See the light." Double reference

Last night I saw a movie with Sean Connery, and his character was called Paul Armstrong. (:

I believe 'Just 'Cause' it was.

I have pj's that say queen for a day

The other day when I passed by champion sports they were playing 21 Guns

One day I went into a shop called chaos and I asked the guy behind the counter does he have any Green Day so he showed me where the shirts were then went back behind the counter and played Maria

A few days ago when I met my boyfriend after he finished work and he was going on about how tired he was and how he hates his job and in the process mentioned two Green Day songs in the one sentence them being Jaded and Misery

I was at a party last night and this random guy who decided to walk around the party naked (attempting to cover up with a guitar...which did not work) played basket case  It made my night

I was at the mall and my mom went into H&M. They were playing "21 Guns."

And there's a restaurant on Robson street in Vancouver called Shenanigans.

For the last ten months I've had music channels to watch on TV, never had them before. They're really crappy ones though. This evening for the FIRST time in those 10 months I've FINALLY seen a Green Day video on there :woot:. It was Basket Case and I enjoyed it :D

whatt

I watched Green Day vs LP today, it was like almost two hours and Green Day won!

anyway I was watching WWE and the guy said they had something called a 'Knock Down Drag Out fight' :woot:

In my drama course we had to sing that famous song "All By Myself." All I could think of was the other All By Myself.

My book about guitar that father gave me a few years ago mentions Beej and Green Day for example as a band who has a song based on 4 chords and that's American Idiot.

http://i26.tinypic.com/1g0ynl.jpg And this one.. is extremely weird. The company which made it is no way associated with Adeline. When I saw it in the store I was like 'Woaaaaaah, check this out, dude!!' and my friend just ran there to see what was so amazing me. Too bad, it didn't fit me (it was already an XS, I dunno, am I shrinking??) and I didn't purchase the tee.

EDIT: My friend doesn't have a clue about Green Day so I had to explain it in the store, just standing before a bunch of these tees.

I also saw LOTAG music video in Gamestop. Also, in some sports shop in my local mall, they played the Nice guys finish last video. Made me crack a huge smile.

I'm watching Van Wilder the Rise of Taj. It's the scene where hes saying his poem made completely of song lyrics. The ending is: "Do I look like an American Idiot to you? So I wish you all the Time Of Your Life."

I don't really think this really counts, but a couple months ago, I went to the dentist for a cavity. He said to take my Ipod with me so I don't hear the drilling and he asked me what I was going to listen to...I said Green Day and hes like that's cool. He left the room and came back and said go ahead and relax and listen to Billie Joe and Company. I thought it was pretty interesting and random... :)

That's an awesome dentist! I have to go in for a filling soon. :pinch:

Some GD references that built up in the time I haven't been on here:

There's Costco on the west side of the US and I just found out there's the same kind of wholesale store in the east called BJ's Wholesale Club.

On Phineas and Ferb (I don't watch it a lot, my sis happened to have it on when I was around), Phineas said "redundant" and later his sister said "good riddance."

On a license plate, there was BBD which reminded me of BOBD. :P
