Yesterday I just realised by besties initials are 'GD', ( I can't believe I only notices it then since I've been friends with her since my first day of school) and I told her, "Y;know, your initials stand for Green Day," she was like, "Oh My God, your right!"

I watched that film Zodiac last night, they said Oakland and east Bay a couple of times and they mentioned a guy called Bill Armstrong,

Then in a book I was reading someone was from Berekeley and on the same page they said "you're preaching to the choir"

I have that feeling of recognizing something GD related at least once a day actually! haha.

Like everytime i read or hear someone saying '21st Century', and that happens quite a lot.

And yesterday they mentioned Oakland on the Dutch news, something about legalizing marihuana. made me laugh ;D

Today we named a squirrel Billie Joanna. Also I found out that a maths teacher in my school, her first name is Christie

why is that a reference... on second thought, leave it

Mike's alter ego from The Network is called Van Gough.

There's this building at a side of cross road and on it's wall it says BJA kampas (it means BJA corner) that makes me laugh everytime we pass it.

In our English book we talked about a guy called Billy which was a singer and had an audition.

When our teacher wrote the world 'Billy' on the blackboard, I screamed 'YOU'VE MISSPELLED, YOU IDIOT!' She didn't like my comment.

Lately everywhere i go i see people wearing Green Day shirts, which is surprising in a country like mine

at most of the concerts a big part of the audience always comes from a different country

So far all my references that I don't have photo's of:

I saw a license plate that said "PBR". Which is actually a FHT reference, and not even a strong one, but since I first heard of that beer through the Tubbies, it counts.

I saw a sticker that said GSB

In a book I read, it used the phrase 'preaching to the choir', but then in Dutch. Also one of those things I first heard in a Green Day song, so it's a reference.

In another book, it said 'look up the word 'redundant''. The funny thing was that it's a Dutch book (well, it's translated to Dutch, originally it's in English), and they left the word redundant in English.

On some VH1 program, they played Holiday

and on another VH1 program they played American Idiot, When I Come Around and Walking Contradiction.

Yay for reality series on channels I don't have at home

oh i forgot about this one

at my graduation one class played/sang Good Riddance, but they totally murdered it, the singing was horrible, totally off-key

i think there were about 15 people singing and none of them could sing

i remember saying to my friend that Billie Joe does a far better job and that they could learn from him

this is a pretty random reference. In biology we were discussing DNA and one question asked why it can be reffered to as 'redundant' i internally broke out in song

For the last ten months I've had music channels to watch on TV, never had them before. They're really crappy ones though. This evening for the FIRST time in those 10 months I've FINALLY seen a Green Day video on there :woot:. It was Basket Case and I enjoyed it :D

 I feel so accomplished when I see Green Day on tv (that is once every gazillion years)

My Dad dragged me to a museum today and was rambling on about history then figured out I wasn't listening so he started randomly putting Green Day references into what he as saying so I'd pay attention. It worked.

I was flicking through a guitar book in Barnes & Noble about definitive guitarists in music genres and Billie Joe was like 4th in the Rock N' Roll section. Oh and I found that John Lennon tribute album they were on today but it was $21

I always scream when they come on. Like "Ha! My boys on TV!" Problem is that they are always on TV when I'm with my friends. They think I'm crazy.

Yeah, I remember this one time when the TV aired BOBD and I was like "Aaaaaaah! Uuuuh" and my friends "What, another spider?"

Anywaaaay. I was watching "Titanic" and at the beginning of the movie the fat guy says "Oh baby, baby ...". I know it's a lame reference, but I can't help it but think about Fuck Time
