Holly Ann
Yeah LOTAG is probably the last. It came out about a year after 21CB was released and JOS (AI's last single) came about 1 year and 1 month after AI came out. So yeah, pretty much same pattern. Here is a funny pattern: 1st) American Idiot, KYE - both upbeat "charging" songs 2nd) BOBD, 21 Guns - both slowed down, ballads (almost) 3rd) Holiday, EJN/21CB - upbeat awesome rock songs (too bad EJN/21CB didn't take off like Holiday did) 4th) WMUWSE, LOTAG - softer songs with loud choruses (I guess you can compare them) 5th) JOS, ??? - Who knows!!! Yeah, I see. We probably won't get a new single, seeing as GD have a huge couple of tours legs ahead etc. I think LOTAG was a bad choice.
cmrnmrphy
I fucking love the static age....but i dont wanna see it released as a single It should stay a good hidden gem so the teenies cant get it
Kilgores
If there'll be a new single I hope it will horseshoes and handgrenades or static age
XBlade1X
I think LOTAG was a bad choice. It was a bad choice to be as a single without Murder City as the second half.

BJWolf
I believe that Horseshoes and Handgrenades should be the next single. I have another reason in addition to it being my favorite 21CB song. 21CB was a very good album, but I didn't like the vibe as it didn't feel like a real Green Day album. There was too much piano and it all sounded to much like the Who or Bruce Sringstein(however the hell you spell his name). Thats why I think its popularity wasn't as great as American Idiot. It wasn't a "modern" album as it was influenced by outdated crap way to much and didn't have the hard, fun, catchy, irresistable, in your face songs that made Green Day such a great band and successful band. Horseshoes and Handgrenades captures what Green Day is all about and would be a huge single because it doesn't sound like an outdated stadium rock or 70s love song. It sounds like a huge hit that would put Green Day on the top of the Hard Rock/Modern Rock world and that would capture the attention of the music world because it has the qualities that have been evident in many of Green Day's greatest songs like American Idiot, Basket Case, Longview, Welcome to Paradise, Holiday, Brain Stew/Jaded... ect in addition to being a pretty awesome song. I hope Green Day leads more in the direction of fast, fun, and in your face pop/punk in their next record.
XBlade1X
Yeah! D: It just kinda... stops. xD and every time I hear/watch the LOTAG video, I cant walk away without listening to Murder City after it. I wish they did what they did with Brainstew/Jaded and make them both as one single Yay! American Eulogy has the most votes I would have voted Viva La Gloria! if we were talking about the second single in the album, with 21CB as the first, unfortunately it didn't happen that way, so having Viva La Gloria! this late after the album's release wouldn't be a very good idea in my opinion. CarolineGilman
Viva la Gloria? (Liittle girl) good song and easy to make a music video for
Jacob.
If not for that 21st Century Breakdown demo leak, Know Your Enemy wouldn't been the first single. So basically, if the demo hadn't leaked, the singles list would be different. But I would want to have Horseshoes and Handgrenades or Murder City as a songle just to prove the people that say Green Day aren't rock wrong. TheSaltOfTheEarth
I think East Jesus Nowhere. Amazing song, great video potential, and it's very Green Day. It was so hard to pick though. Horseshoes and Handgrenades, Viva La Gloria!, Viva La Gloria?, Before the Lobotomy, American Eulogy, The Static Age and even Murder City would all have been great. UGH. They had SO many kickass songs on this record, WHYY did they pick LOTAG? Not that it's a bad song, far from it, but in comparison to all of these? It's by FAR not the best. Wet socks traumatize me
I agree that LOTAG isn't the best song off the album. !Viva La Gloria! is one of my favourite! Anyway, I believe they've released enough singles from that album... no? I mean... 21st, EJN, KYE, LOTAG, 21 guns... but that's my opinion. You know people won't buy the album if it's played in its entirety on the radio
