Green Day Freak 1

Yeah, i remember back in the day when I first started listening to them and they just opened my eyes, i used to be a goody two shoes and I always followed the rules but now I have totally changed I don't follow the rules and I have more fun with life and I think that is what life is all about having fun with the people that you love.

I don't listen to the as much as I used to but I have to say that they have had some role in my life with the way that I have grown up

yea for sure. i've become more willing to take risks and not be afraid to live life, cuase i've realized it's boring to just sit on the sidelines and watch. for me that's a big improvement because i'm a shy person by nature.

green day inspired me to play the electric guitar , so i started learning classic guitar ,

and my look and attitude changed , my style ,my hair ...,the kind of music that i listen to ..........

before green day i used to listen to pop hip hop and that stupid stuff

and now i think i like rock ,important thing :but i learned something ,that even if you're all rock and stuff it doesnt make you a loser if you like listening to some hip hop or rap [...] songs :)

yeah i was like what...four or five.

my parents split up and i went in my room and basket case was on the radio i turned it up and shved my kens (barbie) hair off and stuick pins in his eyes.....i was a scary child.

but yeah like i dunno i'm more accpeting, i'm able to...whats the word and how can i write this without sounding more and more like some little emo kid.

but yeah like i have anxiety and shit like that and it kept me alive, when they wanted to throw me in the looney bin my little tape player was there with them in it.

when my stepmum pisses me off there in the CD player.

when i told my clse friends i was bi and the turned on me for about 4 months before theya ccpeted me...the CD was there.

and without them i'd be dead by now i guess.

now that doesn't sound emo at all doesn't it?!

Thanks to Green Day, I've actually changed a lot.

Green Day helped me figure out some of who I am. Before I started listening to Green Day, I tried to blend in in an attempt to be who I thought I should be. And now I'm not afraid to stand out as long as I don't hide who I am. The other bands they introduced me to have also helped me change in a positive way as well.

They also exposed me to a whole different kind of music than I used to listen to. I listened to whatever my friends listened to and now they know me as the girl to go to if they want to listen to good music that they probably haven't heard before.

I think it's kind of creepy, how so many of you say you have totally changed since you started listening to Green Day. Well, it kind of proves that people are really easy to affect, but unfortunately, not only in good directions.

Well, I personally have become much more self-confident, I say what I mean, and I don't care what people think, at least not as much as I did before. I've allways been interested in politics, that hasn't changed much. Basically the only difference between now and before is that now I say what I think and I do whatever I wanna do. For me, Green Day led the way into punk music.

to a certain extent sure.

one reason they opened other doors for music and such.

so basically there the whole reason for the stuff i listen to today.

&& the other reason, like someone else said, before i started listening to them,i could never relax or anything and just have fun with life.&& now i can and i def. associate that with their music.

i mean when i started to listen to them that was very depressive time for me.And these guys helped me :) i've begun to listen to good music, i've changed some values in my life. Now i do what i like, wear what i like and don't care what other people can think about it. and it's really cool.

They have definitely changed me. Probably in every possible way.

Not only have they opened up doors to other music I didn't know and I now like. They have also helped me in finding out who I am. I always had been struggeling with finding out who I really was and I never could discover that until Green Day came in my life.

They have made me a better person in every way and I'm damn proud to be a Green Day fan no matter what everyone else says. I think less about what people think about me (and that's a good thing because I used to think about that all the time, it wasn't healthy).

And since I know Green Day I've actually been happy in my life.

Yeah I changed a lot, my attitude towards things, the music I listen to, I'm a lot more confident in myself now, my motivation, and well pretty much in everything, their music have helped me trough a lot of things especially my parents divorce and my dad's cancer. Without them I would probably be pretty fucked up right now.
