minorty13
What fender color is more like blue? Sonic blue or daphne blue? Blue most likely started out daphne, but due to years of fading, I'd say sonic is more accurate now

SlyShenanigans
I'm not sure if anyone has pointed this out or not yet, but the best way to tell the original blue from replicas is one small sticker at the top of the bridge end. I think it's covered now, but it was visible for a long time. It's this basketball sticker(at least I think it's a basketball, looks like one): you can see it visible here on the cleaned up Blue too It's sort of covered by the Cycle Zombies sticker but you can see it Also the "Children" sticker in between the neck and middle pick ups has a spot around it where you can see the full "8" that was there The 8 can be seen here in full glory

Jet Taman
The "8" that you're referring to originally had the smiley face and frowny face that are also on the pickguard in the holes of the 8. They peeled off and Billie put them underneath. www.BJGuitars.com

Another way of telling is the speacial sauce sticker witch was placed on it in 1994 the sticker can still be seen ( but barley ) in the 2009 Q magazine photoshoot where you get a real good up close pic of blue it is visible where it was placed in 1994 under all the old sticker ( brown stuff) . Another way of telling is by the sweet children faces they have been visible for the hole time more than 20 years , as well the back of blue in the photo shoot mike and billie did back in late 1995 in san fransisico where there out on the street the photo of mike holding up the back of the guitar you can see part of the " muffs " sticker witch is one of the most perminent ones he ever had as he never put any sticker over it ( counting out the fuck metal witch was for a breif period of time) until once again it was ripped off half way through the "AI" tour but if you see any pics of the back of the guitar to date the sticker is still there just exactly! where it was all those years ago. sure billie has changed the necks, pickups, and got it sorted but i assure you it is the same guitar hes always had just replaced stickers with stickers and removed stickers that is all he's done. THANK YOU. This is 100% true. Just to give one more piece of info, the original Blue is tuned 1/2 step lower than standard tuning which is how all of Dookie is played. Nimrod, however, is standard tuning and that's why he got a new Blue which he keeps in standard E tuning. When he plays 21stCB, he uses the original Blue just like BillieJoe321 says, because 21stCB is tuned 1/2 step lower.

Actually one little correction about the replicas. He had several replicas made during the Nimrod tour which he either smashed or gave away because he hated them. Frankenstein is a completely different guitar made up of all different Fender parts that we have never seen before. Also during the South American part of the 21CB tour he used another replica while Blue was being repaired. Other then that you are spot on

Other then that you are spot on during the nimrod tour he only had one other guitar that was actually sea foam green XD witch has the d generation sticker and the crumbs etc he only ever used like other fender guitars like teles etc at the start of the nimrod tour witch u can see like in " behind the alley" or the MTV videos of " the grouch" for example in japan and yeah once again that was like a totally different guitar and brand new coz it was really blue and all the stickers were fresh soo yeah your right on tht one he stopped using the original blue at the end of the 2nd leg of the US tours on september 3rd 2010 and we havent seen it since sadly haha until they go back on tour OFC! theclassof13
Anyone know the details on Billie's white and black Les Paul Juniors? I've heard some people say that they're reissues that gibson made for him in his custom colours before the american idiot tour, but others have said that they are vintage 50's juniors that have been refinished. Also, does anybody know what year Billie's TV junior is? I think its a 57' but its never really been confirmed.
