Billie Joe's Guitars Thread

Please somebody help me find two specific pictures.

1. Billie in possibly in 1997 at the Toronto Live in the Alley/HMV gig. He is standing with a silly smile in front of a rack of fake Blues. If I'm wrong on the show date, I know it's somewhere between '97-'98.

2. I know there are some really closeup PRO-SHOTS of Billie from behind showing the headstock of either Blue or a fake Blue at the Live at the 10 Spot gig from 1998.

Ahhhh thank you so much for that pic!!! I wanna make my black Epi Junior like that one, and I knew I needed the Lady of Guadalupe sticker but I couldn't tell if it had black or gold knobs!!

Let me clear things up guys, as of today there is only one Blue, the original one. There was a second one but Billie broke it, its pieces are still in Billie's shed. He made some other copies for Nimrod but eventually got rid of them when he started to play on Les Paul Juniors.

I know that from his recent interview with the French magazine "Guitarist & Bass Magazine". I can get you a scan and a translation if you don't believe me :P

I've read on GDA (and saw in the background of the picture where Billie is in front of all of his guitars) that Billie owns a Gibson Les Paul Special.

Does anyone have pictures of him playing it? Videos, too. Or if you know of any songs that he used it on.

well then any, I guess!

Well, there's the one directly above your question, then there's the one he used for Whatsername on VH1 Storytellers, and the one he used at the last Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame ceremony they played (the Guns 'N Roses one).

EDIT: Oops, just realized that the picture I used was the same one you were talking about in your question. :P

Well, there's the one directly above your question,

Ew, that one has a double cutaway :P What the heck is that 5th knob for?

I guess the one I'm talking about is the single cutaway one with the pickup switch on the top, in TV yellow, like in the one in the background of the pictures with all his guitars.

then there's the one he used for Whatsername on VH1 Storytellers

Whoah, I could barely tell that's a special because it's black and blends in with the background! Is Jason using a special there, too?

(And seriously, why doesn't GDA have an equipment page for Jason?!)

Also, he just leaves this on the bridge pickup, so I don't see how it's too much different than just using his Junior.

and the one he used at the last Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame ceremony they played (the Guns 'N Roses one).

OMG, did he put duct tape over the switch so he wouldn't hit it?

Does anyone know if he used any on any recordings? And are these Junior Specials or regular Specials?!

There are so many freakin' variations of a Les Paul!

Is this a Casino?
