Hhhmmm, oracle...I like it :P

Er, they normally announce the line-up in and around October. Not sure when they normally go on sale, but I will most definitely find out post haste! :D

In 2007, they went on sale at the end of March and in 2004, I think they went on sale sometime in June, but you never know when they'll be on sale! :)

:woot: my dad said i can go! :D providing i can pay & sort out travel, tickets etc  my organisation skills are severley lacking.

Has the date been released yet? I'm really hoping it isn't in June 'cause there's no way i'd pass my exams if i went Manchester, Wembley and Slane in June :(

its normally in August i think, so youre fine :) lucky you, im so jelous!

Yeah, TiTP is really good, I have always thought the atmosphere is great and everyone is up for a really good time, though I haven't been since 2006 but I will definitely be there if Green Day are. If you wanted to go over for Slane, you could make a wee holiday out of it and have a few days before or after the gig and that might make it more worth your while?

I wish they would confirm this already, I'm really paranoid that they wont do and Irish summer date(Even though I knw if they don't do Slane they'll do Oxegen or Marlay, both of which would be actually far more convienient for me  ) I'm not able to got to England or France :(

So yeah, basically, MCD/Green Day confirm this officially so I can start getting excited :woot:

An unofficial FHT twitter account that said "FHT in Paris 2010?" But it probably isn't them at all

My god. how did I only think of this now?!

Im going to study languages in uni next year, French and Spanish. So I can use that as a reason when convincing my mom to let me go! (To paris)

"It'll be practice for uni Mom, dont you care about my education"

Ah I wish..

I'm really late to this conversation, anyway...I'm really hoping they'll confirm this soon. I'm sort of worried that

it might not happen and then I'll have to try and go to one of the UK shows and the tickets will probably be sold out by then...

Still hoping this happens so I can go :) Add this to the London and Paris dates and it will be the best summer of my life without a doubt

I just typed slane into google news search and found this article written on 9th November 2009

Slane

Here is an extract of what i found interesting

Since 1981, Slane has hosted the largest outdoor concerts in Ireland. Rolling Stones, Madonna, Queen, Bob Dylan, Robbie Williams, David Bowie, U2, Bruce Springsteen, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Oasis and REM are just some of the world-renowned acts that have played at the venue. The next concert is scheduled for June of 2010. I asked the Marquess who will be performing, and he still is in negotiations with a few bands

This seems to contradict 2fm and Last FM's suggestion of August. It might make a bit more sence too since they are in England in June.

Im guessing also Green Day are confirmed and the negotiations are with the support bands and when they are sorted it will be announced officially by the organisers

I was talking to a guy who used to work in security. He was chatting to a few people and apparently, within a month or two, all the acts will be 100% confirmed.

I think the times when they go on sale changes, sometimes it's march or june. My friend heard something on the radio about it either being officially confirmed in january or tickets go on sale in january :)

I'd buy tickets off eBay in that case. I'm NOT going to miss Green Day play in Ireland.

I'm getting really impatient now, even if it doesn't happen I just want to know so I can get tickets for one of the UK if it dosen't happen.

Well, if they play Slane, I'll definitely make sure I'm there!

It'd be amazing to see them in Ireland, by this time I'll have seen them in Glasgow (Scotland, where I live), England (Manchester/London x2) and Paris...

It'd be special to see them in Ireland, because I'm half Irish/it's Green Day/I've never been to Ireland and there are a lot of Green Day fans over there I'd love to meet

I'm not as enthusiastic about Slane as I am about the English shows. It's an absolute pain in the arse to get to, and it's so terribly run. Plus, there's a hell of alot more people going and it's not technically a Green Day show because it's a mini festival. They'll be playing a shorter set, I imagine.
