CrimsonSheep
(In during me being a hypocrite, I searched and there was nothing.)Have you ever played, sang, or quoted a Green Day song in order to get a message to someone? Did they get the message or did it go over their heads?Share.I'm curious 'cause I have (in during me being ego-centric) and I like to know whether things I do are weird or whether others do the same thing. jose armstrong
I think I have said "nobody's perfect and I stand accused"then again who doesn't say that?I know it is like a quote of a quote in a Green day song but oh well
DistilledxSpirits
Hmm... sort of I guess. In English we had to do a debate on how celebrities have too much influence over teenagers and someone said that bands like MCR encourage suicide because they sing about that or whatever. So I said that does that mean that if a kid gets stoned, starts binge drinking, blows something up, becomes an assassin, strangles someone, or steals a car (and so on) then Green Day is to blame because they have written songs that might suggest these things?I didn't take exact quotes from songs or anything but they're all things that have been mentioned at one time or another.I guess I got my point across because me team won. lol
Sharmellow
I often use Mike's quote, if you're going to do something wrong, do it right. And I also sometimes use Billie's quote: "School is practice for the future, and practice makes perfect, and nobodies perfect, so why practice?"Edit:They're not lyrics, but I meant well. lost_rock_star1972
I think I use Green Day songs to explain things to myself more than anything. I think that most of the time, if I were to use a Green Day song on someone else, it'd go over their heads because there wouldn't be quite that emotional attachment... JohnnyNapalm
i made a bebo skin saying ''you're just a fuck, i cant explain it cause i think you suck'' does that count? shoegazeloser
I used Warning, King for a Day, Basket Case, and Holden Caulfield in different projects. My tech teacher didn't mind the uses of 'sex' and 'whore' in Basket Case when I played it. Quotes that I've been using a lot: 'I do what I want, and you do what you're told.' More recently, some fuck on another site PMed me to bitch about my 'different' taste in music. I used the line in Reject and I never heard from him (her?) again. The infamous curse line from Platypus that I mutter under my breath at a minimum of three times a day. emmaILGD!
I did a speech for English where I quoted a lot of BIAB quotes. And yeah, I use song lines to really annoy people, especially if I know they hate Green Day. I like telling people to FOD, because they have no idea what it means
Nikki_Nimrod
The infamous curse line from Platypus that I mutter under my breath at a minimum of three times a day.This.& I actually quote them quite a bit, sometimes without even noticing haha. Most of the time no one catches me, but every so often someone will notice. I actually made a friend that way. We were talking and I said "I'm so fucking happy i could cry!" and she said "Like in the Green Day song!"and the rest is history. lol.

thisisAB
I printed the lyrics of Redundant and gave it to this girl. Not one of my proudest moments. That made me smile I occasionally quote them or a song. I'm not too obsessed with that though, overdoing it can be creepy.
