Protoypes of what we were ......

The freedom to obey

Walk on eggshells on my old stomping ground

If you live with me I'll die for you

"the world is a sick machine breeding a mass of shit..

with such a desolate conclusion, fill the void with i don't care"

that has to be my favorite line from any of their songs because it's sad, but very true

"I'm just killing time now, I do it all the time now, and it's killing me."

This.

also, "Say your prayers and light a fire. We're gonna start a war." from Viva La Gloria!

There's the one in my signature, for starters. Then, there's a couple others:

"This time we'll blast it all to hell." - F.O.D

"To know is to hate you, so loving you must be like suicide." - Jackass

"A fixture on the talk shows to the silver screen. From here to Colarado, he's a sex machine." - Favorite Son

"His royal auditorium is a murder scene." - Favorite Son

"I'm the son of rage and love, the Jesus of Suburbia." - Jesus of Suburbia

"Wake up, the house is on fire, and the cat's caught in the dryer." - Deadbeat Holiday

"Waiting for a sign to smash the silence with the brick of self control." - She

"She, she's figured out, all the doubts were someone else's point of view." - She

"Your mother allowed you just one white lie. But now she's dead and she left you with a problem." - You Lied

"So rally up the demons of your soul." - Know Your Enemy

Okay... that was more than a couple. :D

"call in the head of the government, the dog ate the document. somebody shot the president, and no-one knows where maria went"

i can imagine such chaos unfolding in those lines

and "is she dreamin' what im thinkin? is she the mother of all bombs gonna detonate. is she trouble, like im trouble? make it a double twist of fate".

very fun to sing imo.

I've panhandled for life

'Cause I'm not afraid to beg

Hand me down your lost and founds

Of second hand regret

Look this direction

I know it's not perfection

It's just me

One for the Razorbacks

Where do we go from here

And what did you do with the directions?

Worry Rock

Just a couple of treats off the top of my head :).

Against your urgency

PHGP - Brother  The venom that Billie crams into the words of the last verse is wonderful

You selfish little motherfucker ......

i was listening to green day while partying the other night way drunk and stoned.

american idiot came on and it was the odd occasion that i heard something new in the song.

"the subliminal mind fuck america"

I always took it as " the subliminal mind, fuck america"

but that night i heard it as " the subliminal mindfuck, america"

so at the moment i would say that.

because i discovered something new out of the song.

also the weed and the green day probably came together magically.

i was listening to green day one time i got stoned and it was the first time i ever saw colors come out of the speakers. was like i was in an ad for windows media player.

I love all the lines from Worry Rock. One of my favorite songs, especially:

Another sentimental argument and bitter love

Fucked without a kiss again, dragged it through the mud.

and

Where do we go from here,

And what did we do with the directions?

I'm telling ya, if I listen to it at the right time I get all choked up.

I also love "so I run to the edge of the shadow of a doubt, with my conscience bleeding" from Hold On.

All the time, where did all the time go?

It's too late to say goodnight.

Time flies when you're having fun, yeah.

Time's up when you work like a dog.

Salud.

"Stepped out of the line. Like a sheep runs from the herd. Marchin' out of time. Who might help me now? The only way to know!!!"

Thats such a deep line. It means so much, but he says so little.

Sorry but that's not really what he says..

lyrics.. I have a lot of favorite lines. Some that come to mind right now:

'It's not over 'till you're underground' - Letterbomb

'you can't go forcing something if it's just not right' - When I Come Around

'I'd wanna take you to a wasteland I like to call my home' - Welcome to Paradise

'are you feeling like a social tool without a use?' - She

'I'm in for nasty weather, but I'll take whatever you can give that comes my way' - Going to Pasalacqua

"Give me something to do to kill some time

Take me to the place that I call home

Take away the strains of being lonely

Take me to the tracks at Christie Road."

Thats such a deep line. It means so much, but he says so little.

That part says "To my own beat now - the only way I know!"

It just happens to be one of my favorite lines of all time and the one that changed me from a fan who loved Green Day's music to one who's out of control and rabid (don't let me bite you!).

21st Century Breakdown, Going to Pasalacqua and Mother Mary. Of course I have tons more but these are my all time favorites at the moment :)

Here we go again infatuation touches me again just when I thought that it would end. Oh but then again it seems much more than that

but I'm not sure exactly what you're thinking.

We are the cries of the class of 13

born in the era of humility

we are the desperate in the decline

raised by the bastards of 1969!!!

My name is no one, your long lost son

Born on the 4th of July

raising the bygones of heroes and cons

left me for dead or alive

There is the war that's inside my head

that questions the results and lies

While breaking my back til I'm damn near well dead

When enough ain't enough to survive.

Do you want to elope tonight

Getting lost in the shadows

All dressed up like a switchblade knife

Let's hang in love from the gallows

Or we can take a walk around the lake

There's a garden in the park there

Under the stars next to the fireside
