"If anyone can hear me slap some sense in me

But you turn your head and I end up talking to myself

Anxiety has got me strung out and frustrated

So I loose my head or I band it up against the wall"

i love the lines....:'seventeen and strung out on confusion, trapped inside a roll of disilusion'=coming clean

'theres a boy who fogs his world and now hes gettin lazy

theres no motivation and frustration makes him crazy'=who wrote holden caulfield

i love all this song!!! 'every night i dream the same dream of gettin older and older all the time

i ask you now what does this mean are all these problems just in my mind

things are easy when your a child but now pressures have dropped on my head

the length has gone oh such long miles would they be shorter f i wer dead

eveytime i look in my past i always wish i was there i wish my youth would forever last

why are these times so unfair

look at my friends see what theyv done ask myself why theyv had to change

i liked them better when they were young but now these times are rearranged

i look down and stand there and cry nothing ever will be the same

the sun is rising now i ask why the clouds are fallen and here comes the rain

every time i look in my past i always wish i was there....etc....

sry for writin d whole song out i just felt like it!!!!=D BTW:SONG=16

"Sometimes it what you love most that suffocates you, sometimes it good to give friends a chance to miss you"

From MPLS song, i like the voice Billie puts on for that song and it sounds cool on those two lines.

"I don't want to be forgotten, I'm so scared of being forgotten" - The Great Divide

that line just sounds so honest and bare

"He makes a plan to take a stand but always ends up sitting, someone help him up or he is gonna end up quitting" - Who wrote Holden Caufeild

it reminds me of all the things I want to do but probably never will

Wow! Two awesome choices! That first one always strikes me the same way - honest and bare. I love the whole song, too, and:

"That's your problem, you're so tired

That's my problem, I'm so scared

That it's too late, it's too late

It's too late to start over again"

I miss this wonderful thread . I was listening to Jesus Of Suburbia today, this line stuck right out,

To live and not to breathe

Is to die in tragedy

Also I love this from 27th Ave. Shuffle,

Things are so much harder now no matter how I try

Junkyard days and toxic waste

Still love is on my mind

I can see the ledge now

Golden Gate is falling from behind

Well if you call this living

Then I just wanna hang my head and cry

In his lyrics he always seems to see the good even when things look hopeless. I like that a lot

Of course, not Green Day, but whoever wrote these lyrics needs a medal.

"Roshambo"

I don't believe in the apocalypse

I don't believe in the end of time

I don't believe in the solar eclipse

I don't believe in valentines

I don't believe I asked opinion

I don't believe I stretched the truth

I am not looking for a bargain

All I really believe in is you

I don't believe in everything I've read

I don't believe in promises

I don't believe in compromising

My own belief’s inside my head

I don't believe I asked opinion

I don't believe I stretched the truth

I am not looking for a bargain

All I really believe in is you

I don't believe I asked opinion

I don't believe I stretched the truth

I am not looking for a bargain

All I really believe in is you

"he hit the ground running, at the speed of light. the star was brightly shining, like a neon light".

Most of the time i can't really hear what exactly he's saying and i don't bother looking up 'cause there's just so many songs, but this

i ask you now what does this mean are all these problems just in my mind

From 'Dark Side Of Night':

The secret chasm

Hole in my heart

Fire’s raging on us

Burning like a scar

Made of flesh and blood

My soul's made of stone

My flame is burning out now

Nightmares alone

There's a rain tonight

Fallin' from the sky

There's a liar’s moon tonight

The dark side of night

'Free for all. Fuck 'em all. You are your own sight' -Minority

'The town bishop's an extortionist.

And he don't even know that you exist.

Stand still when it's do or die.

You better run for your fucking life' - Letterbomb

'Now I'm on my way

Driving down Broadway

Wasting all my time

And I won't be late

'Cause I'm on the break

And don't hesitate

Never make it out

And it's killing me' - Broadway

'Slapped my brains up so high' - Christie Road

''Cause it's just one of my lies

Well it's just one of my lies

All I wanted to do was get real high

Well it's just one of my lies' - One of My Lies

Sit around and watch the phone, but no one's calling

Call me pathetic, call me WHAT YOU WILL

My mother says to get a job

But she don't like the one SHE'S got

When masturbation's lost its fun

You're fucking lazy

I love this one and Jesus of suburbia (the hole damn song)

:o The best thread around is back.

I don't know you, but I think I hate you

You're the reason for my misery

Strange how you've become my biggest enemy

And I've never even seen your face

Fabulous. He always does hatred so well :D

Peel me off this Velcro seat and get me moving

I sure as hell can't do it by myself ...

Those lines are the reason my house is named Longview. Pure genius.

And I feel forgotten, feel like rotting

Do you feel the same? Do you feel the same?

Adolescence, just can't make sense

It's calling my name...

I love that song.

Green Day

Up at your window, i see a shadow sillouhette of your grace

1,000 Hours

One light one mind flashin in the dark,

Blinded by the silence of 1,000 broken hearts

Minority

He makes a plan to take a stand but always ends up sitting.

Someone help him up or he's gonna end up quitting

I shuffle through my mind

To see if I can find

The words I left behind

Who Wrote Holden Caulfield

And in the darkest night

If my memory serves me right

I'll never turn back time

Forgetting you, but not the time.

Whatsername

Come together like a foot in a shoe

Only this time I think I stuck my foot in my mouth.

Thinking out loud and acting in vain.

Knocking over anyone that stands in my way.

Walking Alone

Foxboro Hot Tubs

Marie, full of grace and sin.

throwing caution to the wind

Marie, I'm crucified

drink my blood coming from my eyes

She's A Saint Not A Celebrity

As the wind comes off the ocean.

And my hair is combed just right.

I'm in a stolen locomotion.

Straight out of 1965.

Highway 1

It don't take a genius to be an idiot

It don't take a jesus to save my soul

The Pedestrian

Pills and alcohol

are making me a lost cause

27th Avenue Shuffle

Drop your shadow on a subway wall

back in the saddle you can hear the call

Sally
