I love the lyrics from the Judge's Daughter;

Today I kept on falling down, I thought it was the street, so I look down at my shoes, they were on the wrong feet.

:lol::woot:

I love that line, too!!!

I find it hard to be myself

(can you please explain?)

And I do not think that it's my health

(you're the one to blame)

I have too many favourite lines..

I have too many favorites, too, and Judge's Daughter contains quite a few of them...

"My girlfriend left me on the phone

I'm pathetically left here alone"

And the way Billie changes his voice when he sings...

"Can we find a way

So that you can stay

I think I'm gonna pop!"

He just captures that naughty, guilty, blissful feeling that we all know and love :)

^Great choices, I love Jackass

Remember the song in the old Bodyform sanitary towel adverts that went "Whooooaaaa Body form, Bodyform for yooouuuu!"? The saxophone bit sounds exactly like that.

Being from the U.S., I've never seen/heard that ad (thank goodness), but I DO love Jackass. However, everyone's already quoted my favorite lines, so I'll just mention the fact that I love the sound of this song - it's almost lighthearted in its feel, but the lyrics are so cutting. The contrast makes it even more interesting than it would be otherwise.

Oh my God there are so many  He's a lyrical genius.

The number multiplies by about ten when taking into account the way he'll say something.

No, he totally doesn't have me around his finger :/

One of my favorites that I always think of first is from Church on Sunday -

"...Making your mascara bleed tears down your face, leaving traces of my mistakes"

Me, too! It's so wonderful to find other people who understand!!! I sent an email to a work colleague about the new album today, and he responded, "Cool." I was feeling like responding, "NOooooooo .... HOT!"

Anyway, I was also listening to St. Jimmy today and loving this lyric:

"Cigarettes and ramen and a little bag of dope

I am the son of a bitch and Edgar Allen Poe"

Also at the very end, the way Billie says, "And don't wear it out!"

The last lines of "J.A.R." make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Because that's my life in a nutshell.

J.A.R...the whole song, lyrically, is freaking amazing. Like holy shit. Anyways it's an awesome song too, it was one of my first "favorite green day song"'s.

"Does it seem like all your memories fade?

You soak up knowledge to fill the space.

And still my answer remains,

I don't know."

Whoa, hah.

I always thought it was "They were under our feet" as in, he loves her so much, his feet get lifted off the ground whenever he sees her.

Lmfao, yours is obviously right and much more simple, but I think mine fits too, hah.

"What's the difference between you and me? I do what I want and you do what you're told." from Reject

It may sound corny but whenever I make a decision I like to keep that quote in mind so I know when I do something I'm doing it for myself.

I don't think that's corny at all. I sometimes remind myself of that line if someone gets upset about something I've done. (Also - from Minority - "the only way I know!").

Bite my lip and close my eyes

Take me away to paradise

It's a great way to put it!

Also, I love this line. It conjures up such a clear mental image, and I can certainly relate to it :D

Peel me off this velcro seat

And get me moving

I sure as hell can't do it by myself

Too true!

"I'm feeling like a dog in heat, barred indoors from the summer street."

I also think this line is powerful - it just so effectively evokes that frustrated feeling of wanting something - anything - maybe not even sure what it is that you want ... (OR knowing all too well EXACTLY what you want)

It makes me wonder when

I grow to be that age

Will I be walking down the street

Begging for your spare change?

I really like this line, I don't know why :P

^ I love Android!

"It seems so frightening

Time passes by like lightning

Before you know it you're struck down

I always waste my time on

my chemical emotions

It keeps my head spinning around."

Love how he sings that last line!

Haven't listened to Kerplunk in quite a while...
