t_tot Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Yay! Better than last year when they had Rihanna and Pink -.- Those were painful performances to watch. I hope they play either East Jesus Nowhere or Before the Lobotomy But that's probably getting my hopes too high

xVanessa86x Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Yes! It feels like it has been forever since they have performed on the VMA's never mind been there! I wonder what this memorable experience will be! Maybe they'll play Drama Queen! You know what, actually scratch that haha ooo now I'm excited!
Sarahnade. Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 I'm wondering what Billie means by "memorable experience." I'm thinking their performance is going to be extremely epic or something. I'm really excited to see what they are going to pull this year. Hopefully, Billie Joe wasn't using his words loosely - I hope we see something totally awesome; more awesome than usual Green Day.
Jaymee!! Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 See now THIS makes me happy.I LOVED the VMA's in 05. Every one since then has been shit.
Clockwise Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Along with many others I'm hoping for East Jesus Nowhere. Definitely watching now.
GreenDayGummyBear Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Yay! Better than last year when they had Rihanna and Pink -.- Those were painful performances to watch. I hope they play either East Jesus Nowhere or Before the Lobotomy But that's probably getting my hopes too high pink is performing this year too... i was watching nickalodeon, and there scurvy music video came on... all they do is repeat 'we got scurvy' a million times! it seems im going to watch the vma's with my sister this year for the first time in forever... i really hope they play EJN to make the pain worthwhile.
norcalgreendayfan Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 pink is performing this year too... i was watching nickalodeon, and there scurvy music video came on... all they do is repeat 'we got scurvy' a million times! it seems im going to watch the vma's with my sister this year for the first time in forever... i really hope they play EJN to make the pain worthwhile.I hope Green Day and Muse's performance is near the beginning so I dont have to sit through a bunch of crap
Angela. Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 yeah all the good Green Day stuff has been happening in NY lately :down:Now you know how it feels when GD and the FHT did/do shows in the west coast, and us east coast people are stuck at home. And you now know how it feels when HLAHG premiered on the west coast, and not on the east coast, and it will be the same exact deal for the AI musical. Besides GD doing shows on tour and for some TV shows, we always get the shaft.Anyways... I'm excited for this. I never watch the VMA's, so this is the only reason why I'm watching it. If EJN is played, I will be ecstatic.
Angie-Marie Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 I hope Green Day and Muse's performance is near the beginning so I dont have to sit through a bunch of crapMe too. If they're not, I might just mute the TV and play around on the internet until Green Day comes on. And if they're not first, I don't know what the producer is thinking because a Green Day performance of something like KYE or EJN would be a great way to kick off the show. I'm sure it'd be all downhill from there, but hey, at least they'd have a good beginning.
mad hatter. Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 I hope Green Day and Muse's performance is near the beginning so I dont have to sit through a bunch of crapSame here. They're worth it, but I really don't feel like watching the other crap that MTV has planned if I don't have to.
norcalgreendayfan Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Same here. They're worth it, but I really don't feel like watching the other crap that MTV has planned if I don't have to.Yeah exactly I really can't stand to watch MTV anymore because most of whats on there is crap
colormestoopid Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 We love you, too!ooohh... maybe they'll do a secret show while they are here! That would rule my life.
Sarahnade. Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 I don't care for Muse. But Green Day shall make the VMA's cool-ish. Can't wait to see what they'll do - it will be awesome.
TaylorKlinke Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 "We are excited to be performing at the Video Music Awards," Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong said. "You never know what's going to happen, and it's always a memorable experience for us."I don't think he technically mean't they're going to pull something epically awesome - like Tre' smashing his drum set. Haha but with Green Day - it is highly possible they'll pull something...
St. Jimmy of New York Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 ooohh... maybe they'll do a secret show while they are here!Yes please!
colormestoopid Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Hopefully they play outside or something for a special crowd, because I know I sure as hell don't want to be forced to stick around for fucking Taylor Swift.
Seedless_Reject Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 I can't waitHopefully they play outside or something for a special crowd, because I know I sure as hell don't want to be forced to stick around for fucking Taylor Swift.good point
Tiffx Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 The VMA's are going be so shit, but Green Day will make up for that. and I hope they open with EJN.
