Green Day to perform at VMA's

Billie always writes everything he has to say down on tiny little pieces of paper. It's one of the cutest things I've ever seen. I'll never forget the Billboard Award he presented to Tom Petty - it was like a lifetime achievement award or something, and he had to introduce a short clip during his presentation. He just went "So... watch this right now."

Hahah the whole Brittany Spears thing is hilarious...Billie singing "but all the boys and all the girls are begging to if you seek amy.." HA. Wow...

Anyway, next Sunday should be epic. Minnesota Vikings game @ Noon and then by the time that's over...the VMA's a few hours later. Sounds like my Sunday will be booked.....no time for homework. Haha. (Vikings game...I'm from Minnesota so it's a given lol)

LMFAO, I remember that!

And was it there that he pulled a piece of paper out, and was like, "I wrote this all down so I wouldn't forget!" Lmfao. He was all proud of himself. And at the '06 Grammys when he talked about Les Paul with Gwen Stefani, I thought he had a piece of paper too, but I'm not sure.

He's all awkward and stuff. It's hilarious. I hope he or all of the guys present an award.

fuck im drooling over the fact that the VMAs might actually open with song of the century and 21st century breakdown that would be so epically epic

I totally agree! :D

Him and his little notes... god I love him.

While I feel bad when he gets all awkward and nervous, at the same time I'm watching, thinking to myself "Who is this person? This can't be the man that stands up on stage and has an entire crowd do exactly as he says. He's far too quiet and sweet."

^ Amen.

According to People Magazine Coldplay had an edge over them for Best Rock Video because of something stupid like their use of color or something. I was like "Uh, no, Green Day has an edge over everybody because they're fucking Green Day."

   I saw that today too and I got so angry, because I have such a hatred for Coldplay, and if they'd win I will be very upset, simply because it's Coldplay!

(So I went and bought Rolling Stone with Stephen Colbert on the cover...I'm sure they'd disagree with People, much as they love the band )

This! Haha, I think the same thing!

"This is not the guy that moons a crowd of 40,000. No way."

^ That's what makes it cute, though. That things like that still make him nervous.

And then when the 3 of them present, like at this past year's Grammys - LOL. They're all shifting around the stage not knowing where to stand or who should say what. It's quite amusing. It's even more amusing when on top of everything else they decide to ad-lib instead of reading from the monitor. :D

One of the best acceptance speeches Billie has done was the People's Choice Awards a couple years ago, and for one reason - he picked up the actual "award", and went "Damn, this think is fu-freakin' heavy!" The fact that he went out of his way not to curse amused me and I found it rather charming.

^OMG, YEAH! That was hilarious! Hahaha. And Mike just laughs, and Billie goes right back into thanking people, like he didn't even say anything, lmfao.

I CONCUR!

They were so kickass, right? He needs to wear them again!

Those glasses made me laugh (in a good way), so I'll second this!

I second that they should present, they're so cute when they do!

That People's Choice Award looked really heavy! I have most of their acceptance speeches in video form on my computer. I can't remember him almost swearing, he distinctly said freakin'. And it was adorable!

^ It would make my year better to see them wear reading glasses on stage to read clearly.

That'd be awesome

I'm so pissed, because I can't watch it live. I mean, yeah it's on MTV, but at about 2am and it's on Sunday, so I gotta go to school the next day :/

Hey guys who are part of the idiot club, I just checked the website again and it looks like more pit tickets became available so those of us who didn't get it the first time around looks like we get another chance!

Nevermind. Sold out again.

Yeah, that sucks :/

But I think I'm gonna make an exeption and watch it anyway :whistling: Hopefully my mom won't know...

A few nights ago on MTV Hits they were playing a "video playlist" of past VMA performances. I didn't see Green Day, but watching the show really reminded me how all-out the artists go performing on the VMAs. It's never just a simple performance, it's always, like, an EVENT.
