yeah, I also don't think it will be! (but I would be awesome though, 'cause they would play it at all the shows!)

btw.. I really liked the video posted on their site! And It would be awesome if it'll be a new DVD or something! I was thinking about that and getting super excited!! :woot: but, It could just mean nothing.. (I hardly think so)

Hmmm, as a song, I disagree with you, as a single, I agree. EJN as a single > AE as a single.

Well, I meant as a single. Sorry, I should have clarified. My fault :D I think that EJN would draw a lot more attention to Green Day and to 21stCB than AE would. Why? Because it puts the spotlight on the hypocrisy of religion, and even though some people know that religion altogether can be hypocritical, they still keep their mouths shut about it. It's just a testy topic overall, and I would love to see GD make EJN a single and make a controversial music video. Like I've said before, a church burning in the EJN music video would be a sure fire (no pun intended) way to get things heated up (again, no pun intended) and piss people off.

AE?! srsly?

I just think they put that video up to show how the tour is going, tbh.

I think that as well

American Eulogy as a song means A LOT to me, and I think it's just not the song it should be released as a single, you know?

btw. could someone rip that video please?

This x1,000,000.

I would love to see a church burning in the EJN music video. It would be

really gutsy for GD to do, and that's exactly what I want to see - something gutsy and controversial.

I totally agree with you and then have a priest or Billie (as a priest) start preaching to the crowd

You all are starting rumors. That video posted on greenday.com is just 1:30 clip of American Eulogy from one of the shows. (idk which one). It has different parts of the song in it. Nothing to get excited over. It's not even an actual live performance. The album version is dubbed in. I heard right after 21 guns came out Billie said the next video was going to be 21st Century Breakdown. So idk we'll just have to wait and see.

I don't really want AE to be the next single, I don't know why though, EJN would be cooler.

i dont think the single is gunna be AE. i think everyone should just wait till we know for sure...

theres not much use talking about it cause its just gonna make us wonder even more XD

No he didn't. That whole thread about it is misleading. It was the New Zealand DJ who has his facts wrong and thought that 21CB was the new single instead of 21 Guns...

Last of the American Girls could probably last as a single, but it doesn't seem like a Green Day music video move.

I want to see them make a really moving music video for Before the Lobotomy.

ohmylooord. The American Eulogy looks SO good!

tbh I'm so glad they surprised everyone by choosing this instead of EJN.

I think the viewers will understand the concepts of AE better than EJN.

Watching the American Eulogy preview gave me chills. :)

I'm a little upset that it's one of those concert videos, but it's pretty good for one. I've seen some pretty shitty ones.

People are jumping to conclusions, there is nothing to say that AE will be a single, that's not a video, it's a few live shots of the tour.

Yes, I know.

But there is no reason to be negative.

I'm just thinking positively. : )

I want EJN to be the next single. Followed by American Eulogy and Restless Heart Syndrome, but I doubt RHS will be a single. I think The Static Age will be the fourth single.

Way, let me rephrase that, WA-HAY too political. They'd be assassinated.

Okay maybe not assassinated, but there would be a huge controversy.

I also think EJN, but I think it should be a mass-rave (led by Billie of course) (and i dont mean mass with lots of people, I mean as in a church mass)

In the first four bars where it repeats the riff quietly, I think it should be panning over a man wearing a preist uniform.

After that, when it gets louder, it should pan to the preist's face.. not a middle aged balding priest type guy like they thougt... but badass Billie donning full eyeliner (and an evil grin)

Verse:

I think it should be a film of an average evangelical church, but they make it look like Billie is edited in the scene. (Like, when he says raise your hands now to testify, it looks like Billie is making them do it but they do it of their own free will [or do they?])

Similar for "Stand up, sit down"

And for "Join the choir we'll be singing", they should show a church choir except there are these two in the back with really punkish hair... as the camera pans towards them, Mike and Tre wink, songbooks in hand.

Chorus: Actually don't have a good idea for that :/

Bridge: It should pan to one particular member of the congregation, meaning it is from his POV when Billie says 'oh bless me lord'. He should mouth 'river of a shadow of doubt' along with billie for a nice effect.

End: In between the pause when Billie says "Will infiltrate the inside... yeah", the real priest should go "in the name of the father, the son and the holy ghost"

Wd be so awesome.

that would be totally epic to see! i love ur ideas

Yep, I don't really want it to be AE. It needs to be EJN. I mean, American Eulogy is pretty awesome, but it has nothing on EJN, i my opinion.

I concur, but.... man, i want a video where mike sings, ya know? :B so the ignorants who just watch mtv could listen his hot voice :B

They shot the Albany show. I know because one of the people I went with said that there were signs on the doors that said something along the lines of "You are being filmed." Sooooo it's possible if that turns out to be the video it'll be a mixture of footage from all the shot shows.

i sort of agree with you there, but i can see people getting extremely bored with it in a couple of weeks.... if they are not huge green day fans. and with EJN being the next single, i hope that doesnt happen, because its too good for mainstream taste! and i can picture it not being successful for that reason. thats why id recommend it be something like the static age?

It's kind of obvious that EJN will be the next single because.....

1) Green Day have only played three different songs while they were doing their Late Night TV performances: KYE, 21 Guns , and EJN

2) EJN is included on the Rock Band track pack along with the other two singles (KYE and 21 Guns)

I'm sure some people wont understand what I'm getting at but I have a good point..
