I loved the sound when I heard 30 sec snippet.. When I heard the whole song, I thought it was too repetitive, but then I really got into it and now I love it.

^ Yeah it's so fun to play!

And I think this song has a bad reputation. It's a good song. It's straightforward! :D

I think the "bad reputation" is because of the repetitiveness of the "Know your enemy".. definitively the part that I most dislike in the song

When I first joined the GDC and took a look in the main topics about 21CB it kinda surprised me why the majority in here dislikes this song.. To me,it is the ideal first single to start with because of this long absence since American Idiot..It makes its presence loud..In terms of lyrics,I like it,there are some good lines..In terms of music,it's catchy as it's been said..It's not my favorite but I like it and I never get bored with it.. :)

Easily the worst song on the album. I still like it, but I can only listen to it occasionally, and when I listen to the album all the way through, I usually skip it. Blasphemy, I know. The premise is good (i.e., I love the title, :P), but it's way to repetitive. It's at the point where I hear that song in my sleep. :/ It was definitely a waste of a single.

However, the line "so rally up the demons of your soul" is beautiful, and has a personal resonance with me. So I can't hate the song.

Yes, it's repetitive, but I like it. And it reminds me when I went on stage with GD...

I loved it first time i heard then started to get a small bit bored with it. Thats probally because i listened to it to much before the rest of the album came out, but i love it now again. I had it on very loud in the car today, great driving song.

I like the first and last bits.

But that's all in terms of melody, but it's lyrics are good.

I actually really like this song, when I first heard it, it stuck in my head even though it's really repetitive.

It was definitely a good choice for a first single too IMO

I wouldn't have said a word of that differently

I agree, that part melts my soul and "Gimme, Gimme, Revolution" I just love as well as the solo.

Its not thier best, and its one of my least favorite off the album.

But its still to listen to every once in a while.

That song has grown on me, a lot. I love the solo, the repetitiveness of it isn't the best, but on the whole, I think it's a good song. Not my favourite on the album, but still pretty awesome.

I went from loving this song (when it was the first official thing we heard and first video out) to hating it from being overplayed on the radio and from seeing it played at what seemed like every TV appearance. It definitely is repetitive. I'm back to liking it again - I loved the extended guitar lead during the performance on Carson Daly and I have come to appreciate the lyrics again. Now I don't skip it as much as I used to when I play the CD in its entirety.

Aw, I feel sorry for it. I don't get the dislike for it.

It's one of my favourites on the whole album. I love everything about it, even the "repetativeness"; like someone else said, it's part of its charm.

I can never skip it, even though I listened to it one repeat for a whole hour when it came out and it's now my Top Played song on iTunes.

Definitely on me as well.

I didn't like how overplayed it was and all. Its not my favorites and its not the best.

But now it has really grown on me, especially the video. I hated the video but now I can stand it and sort of appreciate some form of for some reason. I just don't cringe at it anymore.

And the solo I find just amazing, makes it more redeeming in my opinion. Without it I wouldn't like it as much as I do now.

Ah yeah, that's a great part too, especially the way he screams "revolution".

Why is everyone saying this is the worst song, or least favorite song? I love this one! The energy and and the lyrics is awesome! So is the video and a perfect first single! Sounds like Green Day through and through.

a poor excuse of a song, I regret buying it for 1.29 when it came out.

Weak lyrics, a way too familiar drum beat, incredibly repetitive...and shares the name of one of Rage's best songs ever. Overall, it's just bad.

Hey do any of you watch The Ed Show on MSNBC? I was just on here listening to the tv in the other room, and if you're familiar with the show, you know that they play short 3-5 second clips of music. Either way, I was really surprised to hear Know Your Enemy being played on MSNBC.. Thought I'd share..

At first I only thought it was a catchy song, but it grew on me. I love this song, it's so good.

I don't get why people think it's the worst one out of the album.
