This song is alright. Very repetitive though. I love playing it on the guitar, it's very simple. I love the live versions better.

I think it's a song that can take a lot of importance over time. Because the climate insurrectional rising gradually. This song will become an hymn, a call to revolution real. The repetition of sing song is an advantage because it's leading. But it's just my opinion.

Not one of my favourite from the album but i still like it. I agree that its to repetative but i dont think that makes a song any worse.

Aw, I feel sorry for it. I don't get the dislike for it.

It's one of my favourites on the whole album. I love everything about it, even the "repetativeness"; like someone else said, it's part of its charm.

I can never skip it, even though I listened to it one repeat for a whole hour when it came out and it's now my Top Played song on iTunes.

Me too, exactly! It's my number one most played on iTunes by about four times. xD I agree, I don't get the dislike, either. I adore this song as much as the rest of the album. Which is a lot. :P

I agree that it's very repetetive, but isn't that the point of it ? It's like a sort of protest chant type thing... can't think of the right word  I still like it as part of the album and the story but on it's own it's fairly average.

When I first heard this I thought it was absolutely terrible - my thoughts were something along the lines of "I knew American Idiot was going to be impossibly hard to follow but I wasn't expecting them to fail this badly". I've persevered with it though and in the last few days finally accepted it as being alright - not one of the best. Being repetitive is not a criticism of choruses in general, but I don't like the chorus in this so the fact it's sung lots of times grates a bit. On the plus side, I do rather like the 'The insurgency will rise' and 'Gimme gimme revolution' parts.

When I first heard it,I liked it very much, but they played it so many times and I heard it almost every day so I got a bit sick of it,but now I think it's still a decent song.

It's a bit too repetitive and definitely one of the worst songs on the album...the drum part is awesome though.

It's not one of their best, but I still like it, none the less.

It's fun to sing along to, sometimes. :]

This is still my least favourite on the album. When I first heard it I loved it because it was the first song I had heard from GD in a long time, but when I bought the album and listened to the other songs, this quickly became my least favourite. I don't really understand why they made it the first single, but I'm sure they have their reasons. I still like the song, don't get me wrong, but in comparison to the other songs on this album, It's not one of my favourites.

I've actually been listening to KYE a fair bit lately.

Anybody agree that it's...awesome?

I wouldn't call it Green Day's best song ever, but it is quickly becoming one of my favourite songs from the new album. Sure it is quite repetitive, but there is something really exciting about it that gets me pumped up.

KYE is a good song, but far from the best on the album

the video is pretty good though

Epic riff & solo!

Even my superior at work turns up the radio when he hears the intro.

I was dissapointed at first cause it is kinda weak, but I've warmed up to it over time.

I thought what everyone says, that the song was pretty repetitive. But the song has really grow in me, though.

I love the lyrics and the catchy lead guitar
