This is awesome news. But doesn't Green Day know RockBand(as does Guitar Hero) censors all songs? So will we only get the 'clean' songs that have no cursewords? I don't see RockBand releasing a game rated M(for mature) which it would be if it is uncensored. They wouldn't sell to their target audience.

Okay I can think of 2 different things that would get the cursing issue staightened away....

1. The songs released at THIS moment are clean songs to begin with.

2. The ESRB does NOT rate DLC add-ons, which is stated at the "ratings screen" of every game. "Online interactions are not rated by the ESRB"

Hopefully that helps. And as far as a "Blue" guitar? >_> I hope not, I'm already working on a re-make using the stratocaster RB1 came with.

I did pretty good with singing and decent on the guitar. I can only play on medium right now until I get used to hard.

Cool, I'm more of a Guitar Hero guy myself though :P

I once read an interesting interview with Nickelback about why they had refused to put their songs in Guitar Hero, and they were basically saying that all these music games are fun and all, but they're stopping people actually learning to play real instruments. Why buy and learn how to play a guitar or the drums when you can just buy Guitar Hero?

I see their point, but at the same time I bet theres people who have played Guitar Hero and loved it so much they wanted to play for real. Your thoughts?

I see their point too, but I know a few people, my brother being one, who actually wanted to pick up a rock instrument because of Rock Band. He has an electric guitar right now.

For me though, there is no equivalent for my real precious bass guitar though. :)

Yeah I reckon it's made loads of kids interested in learning real guitar. Even though I know playing real guitar is totally different to it in every way, it does make me wish I could.

It's not even meant to be an equivalent, it's just meant to be a fun game . When people say Rockband/Guitar Hero will stop kids wanting to learn real guitar, it's like saying playing Mario Kart will stop them wanting to learn to drive.

I know it's not an equivalent I meant that nothing could replace my bass guitar.

Well that kinda sounds like the same thing doesn't it? Well I'm confusing myself.

I played each song about 3 times on guitar and 1 a piece on bass(I can't sing so I didn't waste time) and they are pretty fun, not difficult at all(but didn't expect Freebird)

I don't know if it's my settings on my iPod, but on East Jesus Nowhere during the whisper verse i just hear "you will..." But on the Rockband track I can hear dissapear plain as day. I found that cool.

yea what they usually do to songs is whatever instrument you are playing then it will boost the sound so you can hear it over the other instruments. i think that they did that just so you can hear what he is saying.

lol i sound like a nerd knowing this :D

EJN's vocals are surprisingly challenging on Expert, I like it!

I am probably never attempting vocals, even if I am drunk as fuck. I was blitzed about 5 years ago and kareoked(sp) Good Riddance and I know I sucked, even though I was trashed.

I can't even make it 45 seconds on expert on guitar. I just graduated to hard a month ago and I am lucky to 4 star the moderate songs.

But for less than 5 bucks they are fun songs, highly recomended.

So this is pretty bad ass. But I must say, 21 Guns is such a BORING ass song to play on drums. Seriously. Know Your Enemy and East Jesus are a ton of fun. Other then that zzzz. They really should have put the whole album out for DLC. Playing 21st Century Breakdown, Peacemaker and Murder City would of been so bad ass. Hell, American Eulogy!

But I guess we'll have to settle with this *sigh*. Everyone on here should flood harmonix's email and request a full album DLC.
