Minority_GD
At the show I was talking about the guy they got up to play guitar had only been playing for 4 months. He did pretty well. The song isn't that difficult Even someone who never played guitar before can learn it in one hour , I guess.

LAIDinUSA
i went up on stage at the Foxboro show they played at The Roxy. at one point there seemed to be more people onstage than on the floor. Mike slammed his shoulder into my face and just gave me an, "oh shit! sorry!" look. he's a cool dude. i must of looked like i was dehydrating because he looked right at me and asked me if i wanted his beer. i don't really drink Pabst Blue Ribbon but when Mike offers you some you drink itSTORY:i was in the front the entire time so i kept helping all these girls jump up on stage. there was one girl who had about 100 lbs. on me and i somehow still managed to get her up there. i think the highlight of that experience was convincing some 15 year old girl to go onstage. it was her first concert and she went with her dad. the dude skipped work just to take her...now that's a cool dad! anyway, we lose him after the first strum of a guitar and i look back and give him a thumbs up cuz he looks scared as shit. so about 3/4 of the way into the show i tell her to go up there and she's arguing with me that she doesn't want to miss the show. i told her, "it's almost over anyway and this is probably a once in a lifetime opportunity! go up there and be the show!", so i threw her up on stage and she then proceeded to choke the shit out of Billie...i mean The Reverend Strychnine Twitch. at the end of the show she was thanking me because now she had a GREAT story to tell all her friendsso! 15 year old girl who went to the Foxboro show at The Roxy. if you're out there: HI P.S. DOES ANYONE HAVE PICTURES OF THAT SHOW? CAN YOU PLEASE PM ME?

RebelofSuburbia
I don't know whether I'd want to be pulled up to play bass/sing or not. I mean, it would obviously be a once-in-a-lifetime amazing experience, but seeing as I'm such a painfully shy person, I'd be afraid of messing up or fainting out of nervousness. And of course ruining the song for them, lol.I think by October though, and during the actual gig, I'd be so high on adrenaline and pure happiness that I'd probably just go for it. I feel the exact same way.. well the only chance I'd get at being on stage with them is to sing because I can't play guitar/bass/drums. But I really don't think I'm such a good singer either
Isabel
The song isn't that difficult Even someone who never played guitar before can learn it in one hour , I guess.Playing it once or twice is the easiest thing in the world...it's having to repeat the chords over and over for at least a minute or two that's the hard part. Someone who has no experience playing the guitar will find it difficult playing it for an extended period of time.

Angela.
I need to learn to play Knowledge. Then practice daily. Then holler at him when they're choosing people. HAHASame here. My dad has an electric guitar, but he's only played it once or twice. I might have to ask him if I can use it so I can learn how to play Knowledge. And maybe some of my favorite GD songs... But I really don't think I'm such a good singer either Oh I know, I'm not a great singer either I don't think it matters though, I'd imagine that the noise of the instruments and crowd in the background would disguise the fact that I'm singing out of tune, which would make me feel slightly better if I was chosen to sing. I also think it's more the novelty of someone in the crowd other than Billie Joe singing the song, and so it wouldn't matter how well you sing. Well, that's what I'd be telling myself if, by some extremely lucky stroke, I got pulled up.

garnet
Later in the song, Billie actually fucked up the words himself, which was awesome. Then MTV wrote up this sensational article about it, here, making it sound like I was a crazed fan thrown on at random. I understand the reviewer was trying to make the point that Green Day is a band with a deep relationship with its fans -- but I think the fact that Billie singled me out and pulled me up illustrates that point better than anything. So, if you're looking to get on stage, that's how it's done. Sing loud, dance hard, and fucking do it all right at Billie. It's his show, after all.- that review was kinda crap wasnt it? says billie looked bemused when you kissed him, he did not! he looked AMUSED, and it made it sound like you forced your way up there when he asked you on lol... honestly articles *rolls eyes* i thought you were great but i did think 'why didnt you stay on?' as billie had to sorta run back when he noticed ud jumped back LOL awesome story =D
