Your Favorite Green Day Album

Ahh this sucks! I have such a hard time because my favorite often depends on my current mood/state of mind. I would have to make my overall top few Warning, Dookie & maybe 21CB...that may just be because it is fresh in my mind though...

I can't choose between American Idiot and Kerplunk. Those albums are both so fantastic, I really can't choose. Dookie and 21st Century Breakdown also rank very closely.

I so agree with you.

This may sound very cheesey and cliche but, American Idiot saved my life.

I was going through a really bad time in my life and that album just spoke to me

and brought me up from the ashes.

because of this...my life will always be indebted to Green Day.

kerplunk is awesome...there are so many awesome, classic songs

on that album...to me, its epic in a sense.

and Dookie and 21st Century Breakdown are both so fucking awesome.

there are songs that are on there that will be talked about forever.

It's hard to choose - all albums are great. 21CB and AI are amazing, I love both Warning and Nimrod, Dookie is awesome, couple songs from 39/Smooth and Kerplunk are very cool... All albums are different (exept AI and 21CB as for me), all are just fantastic. Well, I voted for Warning, really good stuff. :]

Wow! that many people love 21st CB I think it's one of Green Day's worst albums.

It's really hard to rank them like that. Insomniac & Shenanigans could easily be tied, making AI third. And I could easily move around Uno/Nimrod/Kerplunk and have just as accurate a list. Green Day has a pretty solid discography. The only solid positions for me are Dookie, 1,039/Smooth, and 21st Century Breakdown.

I don't understand the hatred for 21CB. I thought it was awesome. It's not my favorite (That would be Dookie) but there are a lot of great songs on it.

I'll just say "Dookie", "Insomniac" and "Kerplunk" are in sort of a three-way tie, as my favorite Green Day album changes sometimes and it's always one of those three... I've probably listened to "Dookie" the most though, so I'll vote for that one.
